application. The Department of Planning & Development will review the application to ensure that it is
complete prior to accepting it. If any portion of the application is not complete, it will be returned to the

September 28, 2004
Sheet 2 of 5 has been revised for Lot 9 Kernstown Business Park. The
revisions reflect as built conditions for the curb and a change to the landscaping.
Five trees on the south side of the property must be moved. The location
originally shown did not allow enough room for root growth between wall footer
and the asphalt. The trees have been moved west on the same side of the lot.
No buffer is required between lots 9 and 10. We did approach the land owner of
lot 10 and they did not want the trees planted on their property.
To date the site is complete except for the fence and the planting of the
five trees mentioned above. I will schedule a final next week. If you have any
questions give me a call.

We have received your .revised site plan dated September 1, 2003 for the referenced project. It
appears all of our earlier review comments have been satisfactorily addressed. Please advise the
owner of our approval. Also please provide six (6) sets of approved collstruction plans with
signed seal for VDOT'distribution.
The appropriate land use permit may now be applied for to cover work within the Route 1129
right-of-way. The permit is issued by this office and will require a minimum processing fee,
surety bond coverage, and the salary & expenses of a State assigned Inspector. A copy of any/all
recorded plats of dedication for drainage easements or additional right-of-way required for
implementation of this proposed project should be provided to VDOT prior to issuance of any
lard use permits. Dedication should be made to the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Once satisfactory application has been made, a permit will normally take approximately thirty
days to process and issue. Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to call.

a power line easement.
2. Change handicap parking fi•om two (2) spaces to four (4) spaces as indicated on the

4. I'm not sure about what you wanted changed with the north arrow. They are
oriented correctly in each view. Vicinity maps are aligned with north at the
top of the page. The site plan is aligned at the engineer's discretion to give
the clearest view of the site development.
5. The landscaping table has been updated to reflect the latest changes of the
ordinance. If you find anything not within the current Zoning Ordinance,
please specify and I'll be happy to address it.
6. The warehouse areas are to be an accessory use to the offices.
