The lines shall additionally meet all requirements of the Frederick County Sanitation Authority. 2. The CONTRACTOR shall coordinate with, and arrange for inspection by, the Authority. 3. Exact locations of water and sewer services on new lines are to be coordinated with the Authority's inspector. 4. The Sanitation Authority maintenance department is responsible for the installation of water meters. Before a permanent meter is set, they require: 1) the frame and cover to be properly aligned with its meter box and yoke bar; 2) the frame and cover to be set to the final grade of the lot; 3) the distance between the top of the cover and the yoke bar be between 18 and 21 inches; 4) all components of the meter box assembly to be in proper working order. It is the developer's responsibility to have the meter box assembly installed correctly. 5. For water and sewer services that connect to existing line: a)The location of the service lateral is to be coordinated with the Authority's Engineering Assistant. An application for service must be made and fees paid before work will begin. b)The Authority shall furnish and install all 5/8", -i'4" and 1" water services. c)For all 1)/2" and 2" water services, the Authority shall make the tap and bring the piping to the property line. The contractor is to furnish and install the meter vault assembly. The Authority will install the meter. d)The Authority will install all sewer laterals. 6. When an existing water main is tapped for the installation of a new line: a. The Authority shall furnish all labor and material to make the tap. b. The developer/contractor must: (1) make application for the tap; (2) pay deposit (before work begins); (3) mark the location of the tap; (4) make final payment when the work is completed. 7. The contractor shall tie—in a new line to an existing manhole by corre drilling the manhole. 8. Any water service line must have a double check valve or RPZ backflow prevention assembly, as required, installed. The assembly must meet ASSE standard No. 1015 or 1013. A remote readout is required. 9. All fire lines shall have a detector double check valve backflow prevention assembly or a RPZ backflow prevention assembly as required. Off -site Areas During clearing and grubbing, the site contractor may transport off -site the residue from the existing vegetation. During earthwork operations, the contractor may import or export materials as required to achieve final grades and specifications. EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL MEASURES: 3.02 Initially, a 12'w by 70'1 temporary stone construction entrance will be constructed near the entrance from Commonwealth Drive. The entrance shall be maintained in o condition which will prevent tracking or flow of mud onto the public rights -of -way. This may require periodic top dressing with additional stone or the washing and reworking of existing stone as conditions demand and repair and/or clean out of any structures used to trap sediment. All materials spilled, dropped, washed, or tracked from vehicles onto roadways or into storm drains must be removed immediately. The use of water trucks to remove materials dropped, washed, or tracked onto roadways will not be permitted under any circumstances. 3.05 Silt fence will be installed in selected locations downstream from the construction area as a first measure of construction. Silt fences shall be inspected after each roinfoll and of least once daily during prolonged periods of rainfall. Any required repairs shall be made immediately.Damaged, ed decomposed, or otherwise ineffective silt fence shall be replaced. Sediment deposits should be removed after each storm event.
