EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL
NARRATIVE
Description -This project proposes to construct a one story 40M sq. ft. church and
parking lot in phase I and a 6000 sq. Ft. addition in phase II. The total area to
be disturbed by this project is approximately 3.10 acres.
Date of construIonstruction will begin following plan approval and will take
approximately one (1) year to complete.
Existing site conditions: The area to be disturbed under this plan is a combination of
vacant grass land, parking area and buildings.
Adjacent areas:Ths project is bounded on the north, south and west by residential lots
and on the east by property owned by Glaize Development.
Soils information: The existing soil conditions were obtained From the USDA Soils
Survey. The so it types listed is 14C. Erosion potential for these soils is moderate to
severe.
Critical areas: There are no critical areas on this property.
Erosion and sediment control measures: Control of erosion and sedimentation for this
site shall be achieved lostalling the following.
1. 511t Fence.
2. Outlet protection.
3. Culvert inlet protection
Permanent stabilization: Once construction is complete, all disturbed areas not built upon
or paved shall be covered with a minimum of four (4) inches of topsoil. Fertilizer,
seedling and a blanket, of straw shall be applied to the topsoil.
5tormwater management: A stormwater management pond is proposed for this project.
The pond is to be constructed in the southwestern end of the site.
Maintenance Program: The erosion and sediment control measures installed on the site
shall be maintained performing the following.
1. The site superintendent shall inspect all erosion and sediment control devices after
each rainfall and at least daily during prolonged rain fall. Damaged or deficient controls
shall be repaired or improved immediately.
2 The site superintendent shall inspect daily the areas construction activityy to insure
erosion control effectiveness. Additional measures shall be installed immediatelyebher
deficiencies are found.
2 The sites rintendent shall inspect dail the areas construction activityy to insure
erosion control effectiveness. Additional measures shall be Installed immedlately where
deficiencies are found.
3. Permanent erosion control measures include the lnstallation of rip rap at storm sewer
outfalls and the establishment of grass on exposed surfaces disturbed in the construction
process.
Erosion and sediment control program
1. Hold pre construction meeting on site.
2. Clear and grub the areas necessary for installation of the silt fence and outlet
protection.
3. Roo rade the and and install the outlet pipe and culvert inlet protection.
4. Compel £e rough g ading. Temporary soil stabilization shall be applied to all disturbed
areas within 14 d-aNys if the area is to remain dormant for more than 21 dags.
5. After approval"bq the inspector, remove the temporary control devices and stabilize the
areas disturbed duriing removal.
NoteFrederidc County retains the right to add and/or modlfy these erosion
and sediment control measures during the construction process, within reason, to ensure
adequate protection to the public and the environment.

EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL
NARRATIVE
Description:This project proposes to construct a one story 40W sq. ft. church and
parking lot in phase I and a 6000 sq. ft. addition in phase II. The total area to
be disturbed by this project is approximately 3.10 acres.
Date of constructionConstruction will begin following plan approval and will take
approximately one (1) year to complete.
Existing site conditions: The area to be disturbed under this plan is a combination or
vacant grass land, parking area and buildings.
Adjacent areas:This project is bounded on the north, south and west by residentla I lots
and on the east by property owned by Glalze Development.
Soils information: The existing soil conditions were obtained from the USDA $oils
Survey. The so it types listed is 14G. Erosion potential for these soils is moderate to
severe.
Critical areas: There are no critical areas on this property.
Erosion and sediment control measures: Control of erosion and sedimentation for this
site shall be achiev4 Installing the following.
1. Silt Fence.
2. Outlet protection.
3. Culvert inlet protection
Permanent stabilization: Once construction is complete, all disturbed areas not built upon
or paved shall be covered with a minimum or four (4) inches of topsoil. Fertilizer,
seeding and a blanket of straw shall be applied to the topsoil.
5tormwater management: A stormwater management pond is proposed for this project.
The pond is to be constructed In the southwestern end or the site.
Maintenance Program: The erosion and sediment, control measures installed on the site
shall be maintained performing the following.
I. The site superintendent shall inspect all erosion and sediment control devices after
each rainfall and at least daily during prolonged rain fall. Damaged or deficient controls
shall be repaired or improved immediately.
2 The site superintendent shall inspect daily the areas construction activity to insure
erosion control effectiveness. Additional measures shall be installed immediatelyelher
deficiencies are found.
2 The sites intendent shall inspect dail the areas construction activity to insure
erosion contro effectiveness. Additional measures shall be installed immediately where
deficiencies are round.
3. Permanent erosion control measures include the installation of rip rap at storm sewer
outfalls and the establishment of grass on exposed surfaces disturbed in the construction
process.
Erosion and sediment control program
1. Hold pre construction meeting on site.
2. Clear and grub the areas necessary for installation of the silt fence and outlet
protection.
3. Rou grade the and and install the outlet pipe and culvert inlet protection.
4. Compl Te rough grading. Temporary soil stabilization shall be applied to all disturbed
areas within 14 days If the area is to remain dormant for more than 21 days.
5. After approvarbq the inspector, remove the temporary control devices and stabilize the
areas disturbed dun ng removal.
Notefrederidc County retains the right to add and/or modify these erosion
and sediment control measures during the construction process, within reason, to ensure
adequate protection to the public and the environment.
