SITE PLAN APPLICATION CHECKLIST
The checklist shown below specifies the information which is required to be submitted as part of the site plan
application. The Department of Planning & Development will review the application to ensure that it is
complete prior to accepting it. If any portion of the application is not complete, it will be returned to the
applicant(s).
(1) One (1) set of approved comment sheets are required from each relevant review
agency prior to final approval of a site plan. It is recommended that applicants
contact the Department of Planning & Development to determine which review
agencies are relevant to their site plan application. A list of potentially relevant
review agencies is shown below:

Dear Mr. Mislowsky:
The Frederick County Department of Planning and Development administratively approved the above -
referenced plan on December 9, 2003. The plan meets all requirements for development in the M1 (Light
Industrial) Zoning District. Primary improvements associated with this project include the placement of four
silos on the property, including one silo 25 feet in height, two silos 35 feet in height, and one silo 60 feet in
height.
I am providing you with four copies of the approved site plan. Please forward these to the appropriate
representatives. Furthermore, please advise the owner that a copy should be kept for future reference and
an approved copy must be kept on the construction site throughout the development process. Once site
development is complete, the owner should contact this office to schedule an on -site inspection.

I have completed a review of the above -referenced plan and would like you to address a few issues
in a revision. Please note the comments I have made below.
1. In the approval signature block, provide the phrase "Approved by the Zoning
Administrator", and indicate that approval is valid for five years.
2. Provide a location map.
3. Provide the magisterial district on the site plan.
4. Provide a north arrow.
5. Add adjoining property information to the site plan, including zoning, PIN number, use,
and owner.
6. Provide the surveyed boundaries for the parcel.

Blue Ridge Industries on Arbor Court, would like to install the silos that are currently stored in their front yard.
We've prepared a plan showing the location of the concrete pad on which the four tanks will be mounted. The
area is adjacent to the existing loading area at the front of the building. A portion of the existing grass and one
parking space will be removed.
We've noted that the new paved area is to be paved.
Copies of the plans have been forwarded to the Building Inspector, Fire Marshal and County Engineer for
comment.
The application and minor site plan fee are enclosed.
I anticipate Blue Ridge will be requesting a foundation permit at the earliest opportunity. As the new "porch"
satisfies all setback requirements, we've advised that should not be a problem.
