Dept of Planning and Zoning August 20. 2008 Ladies and Gentlemen: For v_ our consideration I am breaking down Eastern Elevator Co. sales margins and or processes with our intentions for 290 Airport Road. 1) At least 96% of sales are to building contractors, such as Howard Shocky, H&W. Lantz. c ct. The remaining 4% is to individuals. such as a home owner who needs to add an elevator, wheelchair lift or some other type of mobility product in their house. for health or handicap reasons. Since we do not get involved in the general building construction. most of these sales go to the general contractor as well. The home owner just gets information from us as we guide them through the process. 2) Eastern Elevator Co. does not have point of sale products or the ability to sell these products ( cash register). All of our goods sold are special order for the particular customer and generally are delivered and installed at the jobsite or home of our customers. 3) Eastern Elevator Co. would like to offer scooters to our customers. These would be displayed in our retail area. However, scooters, like our other products would have to be ordered and delivered to the home or jobsite. They then would have to be set up and a product demonstration would then be given to the customer. They would not be purchased off the retail floor and taken home the same day. This area would be for display purposes only. If we need to repair a scooter every once in a while, it will be repaired in the back warehouse area and we will then deliver the scooter to the owners home. 4) The display area for some of our products is mainly for our building contractors, architects, ect. To learn and understand the products used in our industry and to let the final customer see what they are buying instead of looking at a brochure. We do not anticipate, nor expect a lot of home owner traffic, but from time to time will have home owners come in and look at our products. 5) The products we sell ercial elevators urubwaiters, wheelchair li elevators stair lifts, an ome a evators. We would also a to offer to our disabled customers scooters and automatic door openers. 6) I think in my discussions with the zoning department. I might not have been to clear. We will basically have no sales off the floor of our showroom. it is for display only.
