VIRGINIA 22601 Mr. Rudolph has referred your letter to this office concerning a building permit for a two bedroom house on Lot #3. The reason a building permit could not be issued for Lot #3 is because the lot size (0.4.08 acre, more or less) would not conform to old Residential -General (R-2) zoning area requirements of twenty thousand (20,000) square feet. Also, when your 1.162 acres (more or less) was rezoned from Residential -Limited (R-1) to Residential -General (R-2) in 1972, it included Lot #3. It was brought out at the Planning Commission that this area to be rezoned had sufficient area to contain only the two (2) existing duplex units. Therefore, the recommendation to -she Board of Supervisors was to rezone the land to contain the existing two (2) duplex units only.
