Although the pump cavitated at just over 1400 G.P.M. (which is less than 150%) the pump passed per NFPA 20, Article 11-2, 6.2 1967 edition. The building is completed and I have approved a temporary certificate of occupancy on my end provided permit no. 5003 is not finaled. Ms. Sargent told me she can separate the sprinkler permit from the building permit on the addition allowing the addition to be closed. Permit no. 5003 was taken out by Richmond Sprinkler Corp. and is incomplete until the existing riser is relocated on the 22nd of December and the rack sprinklers are installed and tested in January. Further, the building must have alarm system throughout and the signage on site designating fire lanes prior to final. "Fire Lane" signs are required at all hydrants, siamese connections, and along designated fire lanes for access to hydrants. DRAINAGE: These plans do not indicate how stormwater management is being addressed. 40,000 square feet of building plus paved parking is being added and therefore runoff will be increased. There is not enough detail information to clearly identify the existing and conceptually proposed features such as the limits of existing paved area on the plan. The estimated drainage areas and runoff calculations for both existing and proposed site development need to be provided so we can assess the needs for on -site s'tormwater management if it is not provided for elsewhere and the adequacy of receiving channels. The drainage information provided does not indicate a stormwater management facility for the Industrial Park. Additional spot elevations at corner of buildings, parking surfaces, high and low points and other critical areas where contour lines do not exist will be helpful in the review process and during construction of the site to ensure proper drainage. EROSION AND SEDIMENTATION CONTROL: An E&S Plan narrative and measures are indicated on the plan. There are a few minor additions I would like to recommend. A check dam needs to be placed at the discharge points for the ditches along the north and south boundary lines.
