Box 618 Winchester, VA 22601 Dear Mr. Jones: Plans and specifications for the construction of a 1.5 million gallon ground storage tank for the Frederick County Sanitation Authority water system in Frederick County, as prepared by Gilbert W. Clifford and Associates, Inc., have been reviewed by this Department. The plans include Sheets 1 of 4 through 4 of 4 entitled "Stonewall Water Storage Tank, Frederick County Sanitation Authority, Frederick County, Virginia and are dated August, 1990. The specifications entitled "Detailed Specifications for the Stonewall Water Storage Tank, Frederick County, Virginia" are dated August, 1990. In accordance with Section 3.17 of the Commonwealth of Virginia Waterworks Regulations, this letter is to advise that, subsequent to our review, the plans and specifications are technically adequate and approved by this Division. One copy of the plans and specifications, with State Health Department approval stickers, is enclosed. Any local permits must be obtained from appropriate officials before construction begins. In accordance with Section 3.18, Issuance of the Construction Permit, Waterworks Construction Permit No. 200591 with an effective date of May 13, 1991 is enclosed. This permit is your authorization from the State Health Commissioner to modify the subject public waterworks in accordance with these approved plans and specifications. Any deviations from approved plans and specifications affecting capacity, hydraulic conditions, operating units, the functioning of the water treatment process, or the quality of the water to be delivered must be approved by this Division before any such changes are made. Revised plans and specifications shall be submitted to our Lexington Environmental Engineering Field Office in time to permit the review and approval before any construction work is begun that will be affected by such changes. • Mr. Wellington II. Upon receipt of this statement, and final inspection by a Division representative to insure that the work has been satisfactorily completed, the State Health Commissioner will issue an operating permit in accordance with the Regulations.
