Approval of Site Plan Request # 006-82 of Virginia Farm Market for
the addition to the existing farm market for additional retail and
storage space and additional parking.

LOCATION: Intersection of Routes 701 and 522
MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT: Gainesboro Magisterial District
ADJACENT LAND USE AND ZONING:
Open space and agricultural land use and residential and
agricultural zoning.
PROPOSED USE AND IMPROVEMENTS:
Addition to existing farm market for additional retail and storage
space. Additional parking.
REVIEW EVALUATIONS:
Virginia Dept. of Highways and Transportation - Commercial
entrance permits must be applied for and approved before
performing any work on the State's right of way on both Routes 522
and 701.
Health Department - The existing septic tank is to be relocated.
On this basis, the Health Department has no objection.
Department of Inspections - No objection to the proposed addition
on this site plan. We will address the addition according to the
Uniform Statewide Building Code, Use Group M, Mercantile, at the
time of permit approval.
Planning and Zoning - No objection. VDH&T requirements must be
shown on site plan.
STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS: Approval.

Dear Mr. Lizer:
While making a routine check in the above referenced area, it was
noticed that you have installed additional parking area.
From a previous telephone conversation, we advised you that if you
planned to widen this entrance then a commercial entrance permit
must be applied for and approved and constructed according to the
minimum requirements.
I trust you will give this matter your prompt attention by applying
for a commercial entrance permit and constructing to our minimum
requirements.
