action at their meeting of October 20, 1982.
Approval of Site Plan #020-82 of T. G. Adams, zoned B-2 (Business,
General), for the construction of 18 additional motel units and
required parking facilities in the Back Creek Magisterial District.

LOCATION: Rt. 11 South at the northwest corner of the Rt. 11 - Rt. 37
Interchange.
MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT: Back Creek Magisterial District
ADJACENT LAND USE AND ZONING: Residential and commercial land use and
residential, commercial, and industrial zoning.
PROPOSED USE AND IMPROVEMENTS: Construction of 18 additional motel
units and required parking facilities.
REVIEW EVALUATIONS:
Virginia Dept. of Highways and Transportation - Site plan appears
satisfactory. A commercial entrance was applied for and entrance
was constructed to our minimum requirements several years ago.
Department of Inspections - No objection.
Health Department - No objection. Consultation with Division of
Water Programs indicates around 94% BOD loading on system. Any
significant sewage increase in future will require upgrading of
present system.
Planning & Development - No objection.
STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS: Approval.

This is in reference to Mr. Herb Sluder's recent discussions with Mr. Torn Eberly
regarding the addition of 18 units to the Fcho Yilleqe Motel and the capatility
of the existing lagoon to handle the increased flow. Rased upon Mr. Eberly's
evaluation, the existing lagoon should be capable of handling the additional
loading, however, any further system expansion %veld require significant
upgrading and possible expansion of the existing treatment facility.
Calculations used in determining systm capability:

Design Flow of Lagoon:
Original Design - (370 persons)(100 GPD/person) - 37,000 GPD
Present Criteria - (200 person/Ac)(lk Ac)(100 GPD/person) - 30,000 6PD
Use 30,000 GPD for evaluation purposes.
metered usage (water) - 18.300 GPD
Est. additional flow - 18 x 130 GPD - 2340 GPD
Total est. system usage - 20,640 6PD
Should be hydraulically okay
