TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, FREDERICK COUNTY, VIRGINIA:
I (we), the undersigned, do hereby respectfully make application and petition the Governing
Body to amend the Zoning Ordinance and to change the Zoning Map of Shawnee
Magisterial District as hereinafter requested, and
in support of this application, the following facts are shown:
1. The property sought to be rezoned is located at East of Kernstown and Route "81"
between Street and Street on the

Frederick County, Virginia, lying
just East of Kernstown and Route 81
and owned by Glaize Developments Inc.
PETITION FOR AMENDMENT OF ZONING ORDINANCE
To the Honorable Supervisors of Frederick County, Virginia:
Your Petitioner, Glaize Developments Inc., respectfully
states:
1. Petitioner is owner of a certain tract of land containing
305.126 Acres, more or less, lying Southeast of the Shenandoah
Gas land and the Russell farm, Southwest of the Russell farm,
the Paul Haldeman farm and the Slonaker farm, Northwest of the
Slonaker farm and the Crawford farm and Northeast of the Crawford
farm, together with a strip of land lying between the lands
of Shenandoah Gas and Crawford and running from the Northwest
corner of the above described land to the access road running
parallel to Route 81, all being the property conveyed to Glaize
Developments Inc. by deed dated September 30, 1963 and recorded
in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of Frederick County,
Virginia, in Deed Book 293, at Page 442, and more particularly
described by the plat and survey attached hereto and by this
reference made a part hereof.
2. Petitioner believes the 305.126 acre tract of land
is zoned Agricultural, Limited, District A-2 under the existing
Frederick County Zoning Ordinance.
3. Petitioner intends to develop the 305.126 acre tract
of land for residential purposes and believes to do so would
Ilbe in the best interests of the citizens of Frederick County

and in keeping with good and sound zoning practices as it would
allow for the orderly development of the area for residential
purposes.
WHEREFORE, your Petitioner prays that the Frederick County
Zoning Ordinance be amended to rezone the subject 305.126 acre
tract of land from Agricultural, Limited, District A-2 to
Residential, Limited, District R-2.
