TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, FREDERICK COUNTY, VIRGINIA
I (we), the undersigned, do hereby respectfully make application and petition the Governing
Body to amend the Zoning Ordinance and to change the Zoning Map of Frederick County
Virginia as hereinafter requested, and
in support of this application, the following facts are shown:
1. The property sought to be rezoned is located at immediately north of Stephens City,
Virginia along U.S. Route 11
between Street and Street on the
side of the street and known as lot (s) Number . It has a
frontage of varies feet and a depth of 400 feet.

Sir:
We, the undersigned owners of property north of Stephens City, Virginia,
wish to have our land collectively rezoned from A-1 Agricultural to R-1
Residential. More specifically, the land in question (See attached plat)
is described as 400 feet either side of Route 11, just North of Stephens
City. At the South end of the proposed area, the land between, and
including, the property of Elsie Smallwood on the South, and the C. 47.
Watson property to the North is the proposed area East of Routh 11.
On the West side of Route 11, the proposed area is between, and includes
the property of Henry Shyrock, the Luthern Church Parsonage, and Blanche
Gardiner, lying outside the limits of Stephens City to the South, and
Hayes Monk, Jr., to the North.

Dear Mr. Lowell:
In regards to the rezoning partition which you presented to
the Commissioner of Revenue's Office, it will be necessary
for us to discuss this matter further.
The area which you are desiring to have rezoned and the signatures
on the p.,'.Ji- _,b+. do not correspond. As stated earlier, an area
cannot be rezoned in this matter without the approval of the
persons owning the property.
I will be glad to work with you on this matter at your convenience,
but, until the petition and the plat submitted are corrected, we
cannot forward your petition to the planning commission.
