The Frederick County Fire Inspector commented that "if water is extended to the property for present or future development, then fire hydrants should be placed conforming to Frederick County Chapter 10. I would recommend a dry hydrant be considered at the quarry location for protection of this property until water lines are extended." Although no suitable soil was found for a drainfield, we have no objection to continued use of the existing vault privy if no running water is connected to the facility for personal use.
