Dear Mr. Brewer:
This letter is to confirm the action taken by the Frederick County Planning
Commission at their meeting of May 20, 1987.
Approval of Site Plan #021-87 of Landmark Chapel Church, located 0.75 miles north
of U.S. Route 11 in the Stonewall Magisterial District, to construct a church,
parking, and access with site improvements, plus the following conditions: (1)
Car stops are needed where curbs are not proposed and (2) All VDH&T changes need
to be made to the Route 11 entrance.
If you have any questions regarding this site plan approval, please do not

LOCATION: 0.75 miles north of U.S. Route 11
MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT: Stonewall
ADJACENT LAND USE AND ZONING: Residential land use and zoning
PROPOSED USE AND IMPROVEMENTS: Church, parking and access, and site improvements
REVIEW EVALUATIONS:
Highway Department - The overall concept appears satisfactory with the
exception that we would recommend a minimum 40 foot entrance. We would
require CG Type 7 in lieu of the CG Type 6 curbing as shown with a minimum of
8" of crushed stone, Type 21-A and a minimum of 2" of S-5 Plant Mix from the
edge of pavement to the right-of-way. The shoulders must slope away from the
pavement at the rate of 3/4" per foot for a minimum of 8 feet.
Sanitation Authority - No objection.
Health Department - No objection.
Clearbrook Fire Company - No objection.
Inspections Department - All structures to be built in accordance with the
Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code.
Planning and Zoning - No objection. All zoning and site planning
requirements have been met. Car stops need to be placed in areas without
curbing.
STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS: Approval, with amendments as per VDH&T and zoning.
