DIRECTOR Mr. Michael Weber 99 Lee Ave. Winchester, Va. 22601 Aug. 27, 1979 RE: Structural Inspection, The Store Front Greenhouses. Dear Mr. Weber: P. 0. BOX 601 9 COURT SQUARE WINCHESTER, VA. 22601 On July 24, 1979, a special requested inspection was performed on the three greenhouses located at the above referenced site. As a result of this inspection, the following list of possible structural problems were noted: 1. The 6" block foundation shows signs of fatigue or failure possibly attributed to flood water pressures. 2. All lower wood members are in advanced stages of decay. This condition leaves little or no structural stability to these buildings. After reviewing these results, the Inspections Department feels the structural stability of the above referenced greenhouses appears questionable and should not be used by the general public. Before these buildings can be reopened to the general public extensive structural repair will be required. If additional information is required, please feel free to call our office between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Sincerely, Steven A. Melnikoff Deputy Director of Inspections cc: J.O. Renalds, III, County Administrator File SAM/rrm
