RE: REQUEST BY HARRY F. STIMPSON, JR.

Installation of a 6" water line is not acceptable as it will provide
insufficient fire flows for commercial and multi -family residential housing.
The Authority has an 8" water line on the developers property as shown
on the attached sheet. This 8" line will have to be extended in order to provide
higher fire flows.
Additionally, the developer should agree to tie this 8" water line into
the 6" water line on Ridgefield Avenue when that road is extended. This will
strengthen the water system in the development by providing a looped system
with feeds from two directions.
It would be very helpful if a master plan with a proposed water and
sewer system could be developed. Then I would not have to be make alot
of assumptions.

STf
Subdivision streets may be considered eligible for acceptance into the
State Secondary System when built according to plans approved by the 00��
Department of Highways and Transportation, properly maintained since
completion and rendering a public service. (Public service is generallybb
defined as serving three (3) occupied dwellings.)
The following is to be furnished to the County Subdivision Administrator
at least three (3) days prior to the adoption of the resolution by the
Board of Supervisiors requesting the addition.
One (1) copy of plans showing:
Roadway geometrics
Drainage and drainage easements
Date and place of recordation, Deed Book number, and page number
Three (3) copies of final plat.
Maintenance fee - check payable to "Treasurer of Virginia".
Maintenance fee is required based on the length of the streets
being taken into the system from the date of acceptance to
June 30, (the end of the fiscal year). No maintenance fee is
required if the addition is effective July Ist.
Less than k mile - at the rate of $300.00 per year @ $25.00
per month.. k mile to k mile - at the rate of $600.00 per
year @ $50.00 per month. Over k mile - at the rate of
$1200.00 per mile per year prorated monthly.
Bond to guarantee workmanship and materials for one year from date
of acceptance.
Less than mile - $3750.00
k mile to mile - $7500.00
Over k mile - at the rate of $15,000.OQ per mile
Signed permits covering all utilities, publicly or privately owned,
to occupy or cross the right of way and quit claiming any prior
rights are in hand to be processed after route numbers are assigned.
Additions will be made effective only on the first of the month. All
data is to be in the hands of the Department of Highways and Trans-
portation by the 20th of the proceeding month.

Re: Ridgefield Subdivision
Dear Harry:
This will confirm my conversation with John Horne, Director of
Planning, in which I stated the Authority would pay half of the cost
of grading the surface storm water drainage ditch which parallels our
sewer line across your property. By copy of this letter, I am
authorizing E. R. Neff to bill the Authority up to $200.00 once the
work is complete.
My agreeing to pay half of the cost does not constitute acceptance
of any responsibility to mainatin the ditch in the future. The Authority
disires to have the ditch corrected to insure proper runoff of surface
water so it will not infiltrate our sanitary sewer line.
