This letter is regarding your Building Permit Application (number 5622) that
we discussed during our telephone conversation of December 11, 1978. As I
mentioned, the approval you have received from Carroll Brown is for two
underground gasoline tanks. In order to place any structure, including
gasoline pumps, on the ground in this Business -General (B-2) District, it
will be necessary for you to submit a revised site plan (see Site Plan #020-77)
and receive site plan approval.
When Ron Berg and I spoke to you in 'September regarding the High's Store on
Route 522, it was explained that site plan approval is required for the type
of construction you are undertaking. Also, Mr. Wilkins explained in a letter
dated September 19, 1978 to Mr. Alexander Raine of High's that both a revised
site plan and a building permit are required to install gasoline pumps at
Store #594. In short, the information that you reported as being supplied
by the department of inspections is incorrect.
Attached please find a copy of the County's site plan requirements. The original
Site Plan for Wilkins Lot A was prepared by the local firm of Greenway Engineering
and Surveying. When your revised Site Plan is presented, this office will process
it as rapidly as possible. However, this letter will serve as Notice that until
such approval is granted, no gasoline pumps may be placed on the aforereferenced
property.

Dear Ron:
Attached are five copies of the revised site plan
for Lot A in Shenandoah Hills as you requested. I have
had Mr. Bruce Edens of Greenway Engineering Company to
show all the changes and notations on his certified
original as outlined in your letter of June 28, 1977,
and our subsequent telephone conversation the same day.
The roadside sign will be removed. The parking
spaces will be 9 by 18. We have shown a basic land—
scaping on the plan with a screen of trees on the south
end.
Mr. Edens and I have gone over this a number of
times and I believe we have supplied all the information
requested. Kindly disregard the site plan previously
submitted on June 7, 1977.

Dear Mr. Wilkins:
I appreciate your letter of May 9, 1977. When we deal in matters
of such great importance it is very good to understand exactly what
was said. My advice to you was to proceed with Lot A and the site plan
could be reviewed by the Planning Commission before or in conjunction
with any zoning changes.
As to Lot B, you should bear in mind that the Commission is now
considering your thoughts and mine on that lot and you may want
to ask them for a definite statement of their position to help you
decide on the best course of action.
The Planning Commission will be discussing the zoning again
Wednesday, May 18th, 1977 and that would be a good time to discuss
your plans with them.
