In order to prevent having a patched sliver of asphalt at this location, I am going to consider this project finaled. In the future, however, I would expect that your subcontractor would be more diligent in constructing permited projects to the approved plans. Our recommendations may be found on the enclosed plans marked in red and as follows: 1. The pavement design appears satisfactory as proposed. However, the typical entrance section will need to be revised to provide a minimum 1/2" per foot fall from the edge of Route 652 to the edge of gutter pan. 2. The entrance width should be increased to 30' from face to face of gutter pan with 12' paved offsets and 36' tapers. 3. The existing sight distance, speed limit and reference will need to be incorporated into the plan. Please revise and resubmit six (6) copies for final approval. Should any changes be deemed necessary, please design them to meet or exceed the above recommendations. Should you have any questions concerning the above, please let me know.
