Dear Mr. Parrill
The Frederick County Planning Department administratively approved
Site Plan #027-90 of Parrill Trading Post on June 8, 1990. This
approved plan calls for the construction of a new 2,992 square foot
gift shop, the installation of a new septic tank, pump pit, and
lines, a paved parking/ maneuvering area, 33 parking spaces
(including 4 handicapped parking spaces), MC-3 curbing, a trash
dumpster pad, and all appropriate erosion and sediment control
measures. Our department has provided you with an approved copy
of the site plan, so please keep this letter to complete your
files.

This is in response to your inquires concerning the construction of a
temporary commercial entrance to serve your business establishment at the
above referenced location. As discussed by telephone with your wife, you are
hereby given permission to construct and maintain the entrance during the
interim period until such time the Department constructs a permanent
commercial entrance to your establishment during our planned improvements to
this section of Route 522. This letter is to serve as your permit to do so.
The following are to be a part of this permit agreement:
1. The entrance is to be constructed in accordance with the attached site
plan prepared by Greenway Engineering & Surveying Company, Inc. dated
May 3, 1990.
2. While working on the State's right-of-way it will be necessary to use
"Men Working" signs which must be erected prior to starting work and
removed daily.
3. Traffic control will be in strict accordance with the attached.
4. Positive drainage is to be maintained within the State's right-of-way at
all times.
5. All work on the right-of-way is to be confined to the temporary entrance
location only.
6. Any damages to the pavement structure of Route 522 adjacent to this
entrance will be corrected by you to the satisfaction of the Virginia
Department of Transportation.
7. Any disturbed turf on the State's right-of-way will be topsoiled and
reseeded.
8. This Department will not be held liable for suit should such result from
this operation.

9. Please be advised the Virginia Department of Transportation cannot
guarantee unobstructed access to your business establishment during
future construction on this section of Route 522.
