Bruce Edens C/O Greenway, Inc. 1104 Baker Lane Winchester, VA 22601 Dear Bruce: DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION P. 0. BOX 278 EDINBURG, 22824 WILLIAM H. BUSHMAN RESIDENT ENGINEER TELE(703)984-4133 May 29, 1992 FAX (703) 984-9761 Ref: L-gntz Construction Co. Airport Business Center Route 645 Frederick County As requested we have reviewed the above referenced site plan dated May 14, 1992. Our recommendations may be found on the enclosed plans marked in red and as follows: 1. The proposed entrance typical section is to be revised to include a 12' offset from the edge of pavement to the face of the gutter pan and the pavement design revised as noted. 2. The area just west of the proposed concrete flume should be paved to prevent the carrying of crushed stone onto the paved entrance surface. 3. The northeastern entrance is to be shifted to obtain a minimum 50, offset from the intersection radius to the entrance radius. 4. A paved flume and Standard EC-1 riprap stone will be required at the southwestern radius as noted. 5. The proposed fire hydrant within the Route 645 right-of-way should be shifted to within the existing F.C.S.A. water easement. Also, a profile will be required for the proposed 314" water service within the Cessna Drive right-of-way. Please revise and resubmit four (4) copies for final approval. Should any changes be deemed necessary, please design them to meet or exceed the above recommendations. Should you have any questions, please let me know. Sincerely, William H. Bushman Trans.
