The Frederick County Planning Department administratively approved Site Plan #021-92
of Shen -Valley Lime Corporation on December 22, 1992. The approved site plan calls for
the construction of a 2000 square foot maintenance building, the removal of the existing
maintenance building and outbuildings, and all appropriate erosion and sediment control
measures. Enclosed is a copy of the approved site plan for your records.
Please contact this office to schedule an inspection of this site once all improvements are
complete.

REVIEW EVALUATIONS:
Fire Marshal: Add the following to general construction
notes: 1. Burning of construction debris on site is not
permitted, 2. Access for emergency vehicles during
construction must be maintained at all times.
Inspections Department: Building shall comply with the
Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code and Section 310, Use
Group S (Storage) of the BOCA National Building Code 1990.
Other codes that apply are title 28 Code of Federal
Regulation, Part 36 Nondiscrimination on the Basis of
Disability by Public Accommodations and in Commercial
Facilities. Other permits required shall be demolition for
the removal of the existing buildings, key note, check table
905.2 (Exterior Wall Fire Resistant Ratings) between the new
and existing building.

Town of Stephens City: Concerned that motor oils and other
contaminants be properly disposed of at the new site location,
otherwise it is an improvement over the site of the existing
buildings adjacent to the well head.
Health Department: No objection to the proposed building
relocation as long as no plumbing or sewage facilities needed
and meets all statutory requirements.
Planning Department Notes: The Frederick County Sanitation
Authority (FCSA) has prepared a site plan that proposes
improvements to their monitoring well site. The FCSA has
entered into an agreement with the property owner to relocate
an existing maintenance building in return for the utilization
of this site. No objections have been expressed by any review
agency; therefore, staff asks that the Planning Commission
recommend approval of this site plan.
