Gentlemen:
The Southland Corporation is currently submitting plans to develop the
corner of Rte. 11 & Rte. 706 in Kernstown for a 7-Eleven Food Store.
The site and building plans are currently in the County Building Inspect-
or's office. At the present, a septic system is planned for this location.
The store will be connected to a public sewer system when it becomes feasible
to do so. This site has passed perculation tests in the past and we see no
reason it should not now.
Please let me know what is necessary for me to secure Health Department
approval for this site.

FOR YOUR COMMENTS:
The Developer should be encouraged to provide an additional five feet (5')
of right of way for future improvement of Route 706. This road now nas a
traffic count of 55 V.P.D. which would qualify it for surface treatment if
all of the right of way is donated. Possibly the Developer would consider
donating this right of way and surfacing Route 706 back to include the
entrance to provide additional access.
A field review of the drainage treatment will be necessary with the
Developer's Engineer prior to issuance of a permit to construct the entrances,
we do not believe the pipe culverts will function as shown.
See plans for notes.
