Hello Ben,
I had a chance to speak with the Planning Department this afternoon and there seems to be a good understanding of the desired outcomes
and proffered requirements that I will let them provide any necessary guidance.
From the Parks and Recreation perspective there are no comments at this time for the Shandy Elm / Renaissance plans.
I appreciate your responsiveness, please let me know if there is anything else I can provide or if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Jon

Jonathan,
The Renaissance Dr. plans (by others) proposal a gravel shoulder/ditch section running from the Shady Elm intersection east on both the North
and South sides of the proposed roadway. There is some potential to run a sidewalk along the south side of Renaissance Drive and propose a
crossing at the entrance to the Shady Elm and Renaissance sites (STA 5+00). Let me know your thoughts on this, it would seem to not fully
match the intent of the 10’ along the two sites Shady Elm frontage.
I’ve attached the plan sheets and road sections from the approved Renaissance Drive Extension plans for reference, let me know if you’d like to
discuss further.
Thanks,

Hello Ben,
I see the 10’ path, just not how it would allow crossing of Renaissance Dr. Please let me know your thoughts on this. While not a public road
crossing, the image below shows the current conditions of the American Woodmark property where they have a trail that should connect with
Shady Elm. Please let me know your thoughts and I’ll be able to provide our comments.
Thanks,
Jon

Hello Michael,
Please accept this e-mail as the comments for the subject site plans:
For both plans Parks and Recreation has a common comment regarding continuation of the 10’ path along the east side of Shady Elm Rd. This
will involve planning a path on the Renaissance Site Plan and connecting it with a crossing to the Shady Elm site.
Renaissance:
Provide 10’ path along Shady Elm Road frontage
Shady Elm:
Connect Shady Elm Road / Renaissance Dr frontage path to cross Renaissance Dr and connect with path on Renaissance site property.
Parks and Recreation has no additional comments at this time. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Jon
