Whereas by unanimous resolution adopted at a regular called meeting the School Board of Frederick County, Virginia resolved to sell at public auctio those tutu certain tracts of land adjoining each other and known as Mt. Airy School, sit — Iuate on Virginia State Highway No. 622, approximately eight miles Southwest of Wincheste . Whereas application for approval of the sale of said real estat� by the School Board of Frederick County, Virginia was made to the Circuit Court of Fred—I crick County, Virginia. Whereas the Circuit Court of Frederick County, Virginia made anI order on the 21st day of May, 1951, adjudging, ordering and decreeing the approval and I� i ratifying the sale of said realty known as the Mt. Airy School, in Frederick County, Virginia after advertising for two weeks in the Winchester Evening Star, a newspaper of general circulation in Frederick County, Virginia; and, in accordance with the order of s said court the School Board of F�rederi,ck-County, Virgini.r did `vert' for ale the eeiY I property for two weeks in the Winchester Evening Star and the advertisement stated that +I the sale of said property would be held by auction in front of the Frederick County Cour I House in Winchester, Virginia on Saturday June 23, 1951 at 11:30 A. M. and, Whereas in accordance with thesaid resolution and order, the F Virginia did advertise for sale the Mt. Airy School School Board of Frederick County, g property in the Winchester Evening Star for two successive weeks; the sale to be held inI front of the Frederick County Court House in Winchester, Virginia on Saturday, 'Tune 23, 1951 at 11:30 A. M. Whereas in accordance with the said advertisement the said two tracts of land known as the Mt. Airy School property were knocked down to Paul Rhodes +for the high bid of $3,000.00 and, IWhereas after the sale of said real estate the said Paul Rhodes s ' for ten dollars and other good and vaLaable consideration directed .that the realty caxA- � `veye8 by J. `A. 'Snapp r� !t8 _ btl'iot by deed dat November 8, 1875, and of record in the Cler'k's Offioe of the Cirouit Court of Frederick County, Virginia, in Deed Book 97, page 367, be conveyed by the School Board of Frederic County, Virginia to the trustees of the lit. Airy Community Center, Frederick Gouty, Virginia and the said. Paul Rhodes and Harriet Rhodes, his wife, have hereunto set their hands and seals hereto for the purpose of atim oxladging the terms of this deed, and con. veying all their interest in said realty to the parties of the second part. Airy School, and "Purtenances and rights thereto belonging situate, lying and being in Frederick County, Virginia, about eight miles Southwest of Winchester, Virginia 1:n Cedar Creek Grade and OPP= = Road, adjoining the lands of Elisha Snapp and bounded I as follows Beginning at a stake on the nest side of said road, and corner to Elisha Snapp and running thence with the line between said E. Snapp and J. W. Snapp N.,'213 3/4 W. 12.66 rods to a stake in said line thence N. 46 1/4, E. 6.33 rods to a stake on the corner of a small building, then S. 43 3/4, E. 12.66 rods to a stake on the) side of the said road, then with said road to the beginning, containing two roods, more or less. This is the same lot or parcel of land that was conveyed by J. W. Snapp and wife to the trustees of the Opequon School District, Frederick County, by deed dated I November 15, 1675, and of record in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of Frederick) County, Virginia in Deed Book 97, page 367.
