Location of Property: 8209 Valley Pike, Middletown VA 22645 Comments: -FREDERICK COUNTY INSPECTIONS DEPARTMENT USE ONLY - 18 Building shall comply with The Virginia Existing Building Code and Section 304, Business Use Group, of the Virginia Building Code/2015. Other codes that apply are The Virginia Fire Code 2015, ICC/ ANSI A117.1-2009 Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities and the Virginia Energy Code. Renovations and additions require asbestos inspection if structure was erected prior to 1985 Building shall maintain height and area as required under T503. Building has full NFPA 13 system installed. Installation of exterior equipment are equipped with self-contained suppression systems as required per code. Structural slabs installed to support equipment may require a building permit, depending on weight and overall design of slab. Please submit slab details for review. 60% of all entrances shall be accessible. Restripe of accessible parking and unloading. Accessible route provided to main entrance. Van accessible parking spaces shall measure 8' in width with an 8' unloading area or 11' parking width with a 5' unloading area. Accessible parking signage for van shall include $500 fine. See USBC Section 1106.8 for van signage. Please note the requirements in Chapter 17 of VBC for special inspection requirements on the type of structure (Soils, concrete etc.) 1/10/2020 Accessible parking shall be located on the shortest distance to an accessible entrance.
