Other code(s) that may apply if the building is conditioned is the Virginia Energy Code 2012 and the Virginia Mechanical Code 2012. Enclosing area and expanding showroom. Building area shall maintain height and area as required under T503 with applicable increases. Existing fire barriers are in place and will be required, in lieu of sprinkler, to meet height and area requirements. Question of the location of exits, accessible entrance, elevations, and slopes Handicap Van Parking is required. Minimum width for parking and unloading is 8' w/8' unloading or 11' w/5' unloading. Please note the requirements in Chapter 17 of BOCA for special inspection requirements on the type of structure ( Soils, concrete etc.) Compaction/soil bearing/soil testing shall be required for placement of new store. 12/6/16 Parking totals include those used for display.
