Subject: Greystone Ind. Park 900K Warehouse Site Plan - VDOT Approval
A VDOT review has been conducted on the Greystone Ind. Park 900K Warehouse plans dated November
2, 2018 and as received by our office on November 5, 2018. Based off of the review of the Drawings,
this Plan is approved by our office. We offer the following general comments:
The work as shown on the Red Bud Road Route 661 Drainage Improvement Plan with a
VDOT stamped approved date of September 4, 2018 must be completed or at a minimum
obtained a VDOT Land Use Permit for its construction prior to any work beginning on the
Warehouse site.
Should conditions in the field exist on VDOT Right -of -Way such that additional measures are
warranted, such measures shall be completed to the satisfaction of VDOT.
Materials used and methods of construction shall adhere to the current observed VDOT Road
and Bridge Specifications, Road and Bridge Standards, A-fanual on Uniform Traffic Control
Devices, and Land Use Permit Special Provisions.
A preconstruction conference shall be held by the engineer and/or the developer with the
attendance of the contractor, various County agencies, utility companies, and VDOT prior to
initiation of work.
Any construction related changes to the approved plan must come through the design
engineer to VDOT for approval. Please allow a minimum of 5 business days for VDOT
review.
A Land Use Permit shall be obtained before any work is performed on the State's right-of-
way. The permit is issued by this office and will require application fee and surety bond
coverage.
Please provide two signed and sealed sets and one electronic copy of the plans to this office
for file and permitting.
If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thanks,
Matthew B. Smith, P.E.
