Item fl: Section 165-130
Staff will be presenting a slide presentation of signage within Frederick County and other localities
to match the matrix that the subcommittee has received for signage in the B-2 (Business General)
Zoning District. It is the belief of staff that this slide show will help the DRRS with better picture of
signage use for implementation of proposed changes in the B-2 zoning district. Staff will be seeking
input from the DRRS regarding signage and clarification to write new sign definitions and ordinance.
This will be an on-going process to implement the goals and policies as related to signage in the B-2
(Business General) Zoning District and business corridors standards as identified within the 2003
Frederick County Comprehensive Policy Plan. The zoning ordinance does not have performance
standards for signage in its commercial zoning districts along these corridors.
