Walking surface shall meet ANSI A 117.1-09 for surface. Retaining walls shown require building permits and, due to height of unbalanced fill, will require a design by a Virginia Registered Design Professional. Please note the requirements in Chapter 17 of BOCA for special inspection requirements on the type of structure (Soils, concrete etc.) Compaction/soil bearing/soil testing shall be required for placement of new store. 9/6/17 Walkway shall be separated from new structure as required by the Virginia Building Code.
