D W G DD D N/ A DD D Transportation Management Plan 1. Temporary Traffic Control Plan a. General Notes 1. This project is classified as a TMP Type “A” project. Traffic on the project is commercial with employee vehicles and limited commercial trucks. The traffic volume for the mainline is 350 vehicles per day with a posted speed limit of 25 mph. 2. The project is located on Aviation Drive (Rte. 990) in Frederick County, approximately 0.25 miles south of the intersection Airport Road (Rte. 645). 3. The work consists of installing one new commercial entrance. The existing road is a two lane section with approximate 12' lanes, with the proposed entrance connection at the terminating culdesac of Aviation Drive. 4. The work zone will be approximately 100 feet in length for the entrance. 5. The work zone will consist of a shoulder closure on sections of the culdesac following the Virginia Work Area Protection Manual (VWAPM) and the MUTCD. 6.
