Planning Staff has reviewed the above- referenced site plan to determine if administrative approval can be
;granted. At this time; administrative approval,cannot be granted. This site plan is denied until the issues
in•this letter, as well as all issues,of'the other review'agencies, have been, adequately addressed. Please
review Staff s comments listed below and then. prepare a revised site plan which adequately addresses
each concern.
Review Comments:
L Existing Building. As you stated in your letter and on the revised plan, the existing• 12,000
square foot building has beenconverted to mini- storage. The tan:dscapinb.needs to be extended
around the side and rear of the site as indicated.
After you have.revised the site plan; please provide at least five,copies of the final plan for approval. Do
not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding, this letter.

Memorandum
We've revised the plan per your comments. The changes are:
1. A plan date has been added.
2. A note requiring dead plantings: be replaced has been added.
3. The plan date of the original site plan has been added.
4. The unreadable text has been relocated.
5'. The number of storage units in the new building is shown.
Also, please note we have revised, the parking calculations Ito account for current site uses. The existing 12,000
sq. ft. building is actually in mini storage use now. The existing parking satisfies, the new requirement and
therefore, no new-spaces are required.
I've enclosed copies of approval letters from:all.,agencies.

can be granted. At this time, administrative approval cannot be granted. This site plan is denied
until' the issues in this letter, as well as all issues of the other review agencies, have been adequately
addressed.- Please; review Staff's comments: listed below and then prepare a revised site plan which
adequately addresses each concern.
Review Comments:
L) Plan. Date. On "the cover sheet, provide the day the plan was created.
2) Landscaping. Upon inspection of the site, it was noted that there are some dead screening
trees. Provide a.note on sheet 3 that states all dead landscaping needs to be replaced.
3) Old Site Plan. There is a.statementon Sheet that states "for site details see approved site
plan dated dune .22, 1990. Sheet 2 of this set ". Incl'ude the actual approval date of the plan
(June 5, 2000).
4) Adjacent"Properties. Label all adjacent properties, including the ones across both of the
roads.
5) Text on Plan. There is text on the site plan that is illegible because it., is located in the
shadows of the aerial.
6) New Building: On Sheet .3 provide the number of units in the new`building.
After you.have revised the siteplan, please resubmit one copy so that I may verify the information
contained on the plan. I will need all approved review agency comment "sheets and at least five
copies of the final plan for approval. Comment sheets are required from the following agencies: the
Frederick Count) Inspections Department and the Frederick County Fire Marshal.
