CALL TO ORDER
The Chairman called the meeting to order.
BOARD VOTES TO MOVE COUNTY OFFICES FROM THE CITY OF
WINCHESTER TO THE COUNTY - LOCATION ROUTE 50 EAST -
APPROVED
Upon motion made by W. Harrington Smith, Jr., seconded by
Robert M. Sager, that the county accept the offer of O'Sullivan
Corporation to donate 20 acres of land and to construct a
100,000 square foot building and lease said building back to the
county with an option to purchase the building at a yet to be
determined time frame. The construction costs will not exceed
$60 per square foot and furnishings will not exceed $200,000.
Mr. Dick stated that he had a couple of comments at this
time.
He stated that he thought perhaps every member of the board
is very aware of his direction on this all along. He believes
that the southern end of the county is the area that provides
large tracts of land, population, and transportation necessary
for such an endeavor and economic base, and he has never wavered
from those opinions at all.
There were no further comments.
Mr. Dick called for the vote.
The above motion was approved by the following recorded
vote:
Richard G. Dick - Nay
W. Harrington Smith, Jr. Aye
James L. Longerbeam - Aye
Robert M. Sager - Aye

Charles W. Orndoff, Sr. - Aye
UPON MOTION MADE BY W. HARRINGTON SMITH, JR., SECONDED BY
