May 26, 1994 Reconvened Meeting 647 A Reconvened Meeting of the Frederick County Board of Supervisors was held on May 26, 1994, at 8 a.m. in the Board of Supervisor's Meeting Room, Frederick County Courthouse, Loudoun Street Mall, Winchester, Virginia. PRESENT: Richard G. Dick, Chairman; W. Harrington smith, Jr., Vice-Chairman; James L. Longerbeam; Robert M. Sager; Jimmie K. Ellington and Charles W. Orndoff, Sr. CALL TO ORDER The Chairman called the meeting to order. BOARD VOTES TO MOVE COUNTY OFFICES FROM THE CITY OF WINCHESTER TO THE COUNTY - LOCATION ROUTE 50 EAST - APPROVED Upon motion made by W. Harrington Smith, Jr., seconded by Robert M. Sager, that the county accept the offer of O'Sullivan Corporation to donate 20 acres of land and to construct a 100,000 square foot building and lease said building back to the county with an option to purchase the building at a yet to be determined time frame. The construction costs will not exceed $60 per square foot and furnishings will not exceed $200,000. Mr. Dick stated that he had a couple of comments at this time. He stated that he thought perhaps every member of the board is very aware of his direction on this all along. He believes that the southern end of the county is the area that provides large tracts of land, population, and transportation necessary for such an endeavor and economic base, and he has never wavered from those opinions at all. There were no further comments. Mr. Dick called for the vote. The above motion was approved by the following recorded vote: Richard G. Dick - Nay W. Harrington Smith, Jr. Aye James L.
