On December 17,2002 the Frederick County Board of Supervisors passed a resolution requesting
that the Commonwealth Transportation Board consider restricting through truck traffic on Woods
Mill Road (Route 660) between its intersection with Berryville Pike (Route 7) and Jordan Springs
Road (Route 664). VDOT has requested that a new public hearing be held for this project, because
the original public hearing did not properly advertise the alternate route for this project An alternate
route exists via Berryville Pike (Route 7) to Interstate 81 to Martinsburg Pike (Route 11) to
Stephenson Road (Route 664) to Jordan Springs Road (Route 664), to the intersection with Woods
Mill Road (Route 660); and has been advertised as requested by VDOT for the Board's August 11,
2004 Meeting.
Please find attached a new map showing the proposed no through truck route and alternate route.
After a public hearing is held, and ifit is the Board's desire, it would be appropriate to pass a new
resolution oj support Jor the restriction oj through trucks as described above.
