Proc. 006-04 BOARD OF SUPERVISORS PROCLAMATION BOARD OF SUPERVISORS FREDERICK COUNTY, VIRGINIA COMMEMORATING THE 2004 CHINESE TRADE MISSION' WHEREAS, in 2002 Frederick County had the honor of welcoming members of the Chinese Delegation, who came to our region to explore trade opportunities and encourage continued exchange of future delegations as a means of increasing the understanding of our cultures, education, and business development; and WHEREAS, the Winchester-Frederick County Chamber of Commerce seeks to continue building these relationships by sending its own delegation to China; and WHEREAS, the goals of these exchange programs are not only the creation of sustainable business relationships but also the creation of strong social bonds that will be rewarding to both regions. NOW, THEREFORE, I, Richard C. Shickle, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of the County of Frederick, Virginia, do hereby thank the citizens of China for the gracious hospitality that has been showered upon our local delegation and look forward to continuing the efforts to build strong social and economic bridges between our two regtons. Their group will be leaving March 30th and returning April 9th We have been asked to provide a gift and proclamation for the group to present on behalf of Frederick County. Along with this proclamation, Frederick County will be sending 15 matted color prints of the old courthouse at 9 Court Square. The prints are being purchased from Joanne R. Happ Gallery.
