FREDERICK COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
MONDAY, DECEMBER 8, 2025

FREDERICK COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS ADMINISTRATION BUILDING

ATTENDEES
Board of Supervisors: John F. Jewell, Chairman; Robert W. Wells; Blaine P. Dunn; Robert
T. Liero; Jason Aikens; and Albert L. Orndorff were present. Judith McCann-Slaughter, Vice
Chairman, was absent.
Staff present: Michael Bollhoefer, County Administrator; and Ann W. Phillips, Deputy Clerk
to the Board of Supervisors.
Frederick County School Board Members Present: Scott Sturdivant, School Board Chair;
Dianna Klein, Vice Chair; Miles Adkins; and Brian Erskine
Others present: Frederick County Supervisor-Elect Gary Oates
CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 6:32 p.m.
DISCUSSION OF THE FOURTH HIGH SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT
VLK Architects representatives reviewed the building plans and specific aspects of the
campus site.
The Board, School Board, and staff discussed the estimated costs and ongoing efforts to
meet the projected costs before the project goes out for bids. Also discussed were the ingress and
egress of the new school site and the involvement with VDOT to finalize the transportation issues.
