Frederick County, Virginia, held on the 18th day of March, 2950.

Upon motion of C. E. Garber and seconded by Grover Teets
It is ordered that a Planning Commission of five members., be.,and hereby i�, created for
Frederick County and the following members are appointed to serve for the following terms,
h said terms all begin on_the IOth day of April, 1950.
Grover Teets for a term of four years
E. Earl Shade for a term of four years
P. E. Lineberg for a term of three years
Boyd Ramey for a term of two years
John R. Cooper for a term of one year
The Clerk is ordered to notify the said members of their
appointment and for them to appear in the Frederick County Clerk's Office on the 2Ist day
of April, 1950 to organize.
Upon motion it is ordered that the Board do now adjourn.

It is ordered that the road viewers of Frederick County,
Virginia be notified to view the two following roads
To begin at the Reardon Road at Wright's Run and extending
for a distance of three tenths of one mile from route 522 to the Clarke County line, and
also:-
The Cedar Hill Road leading from route 671 for a distance
four tenths of one mile. The Clerk is ordered to notify the said Viewers to report at the
Clerk's Office of Frederick County on the 13th day of April, 1950 at I0:00 A. 11. and be
qualified and View said Roads.

ROADS - MAINTAINED DEPARTIENT OF HIGHWAY
Upon motion duly seconded the following Resolutions were
(passed.
BE IT RESOLVED, that section of Reardon (toad between the
Clarke County Line and Int. Route 522 at Wrights Hun, a distance of 0.3 mile, be taken
over by the Highway Department for maintenance.
A thirty foot unrestricted right of way is guaranteed.
BE IT RESOLVED, that section of Cedar Hill Road leading
North from Route 671 for a distance of 0.4 mile be taken into the secondary system by the
Highway Department for maintenance.
WELFARE BUDGET
A thirty foot unrestricted right of way is guaranteed.
The Welfare Budget for the fiscal year, beginning on the
Ist day of July 1950 and ending on the 30th day of June, 1951 was presented and upon
motion duly.seconded. It was unanimously approved in the amount of $58,130.00.
TENTATIVE BUDGET
Upon motion duly seconded the tentative budget as prepared
was unanimously approved and the Clerk of this Board is ordered and authorized to have the
same published in the Winchester Evening Star as required by law and the Public Hearing

thereof shall be held on the I2th day of June, 1950.

Upon motion duly seconded it is ordered that the maximum
amount that this board will expend for burying the indigent poor of this county is
$65.00. The Clerk is ordered to notify the undertakers of Winchester and Frederick Coun
also Frank Stover of Strasburg, Virginia and for them to reply if they want any of these
burials.

OINT EXPENSE ACCOUNT
Upon motion duly seconded the Frederick County joint expense
account contract beginning July I, 1950 with the aty of Winchester was approved. It is
further ordered that this contract be executed upon the payment to the County Treasurer

$2,875.00, said sum being the amount of Joint expense account due to the Ist day of July
1950.
Upon motion duly seconded the ordenance providing for the
zoining of the lands surrounding the James Wood Consolidated County High School of
Frederick County, Virginia, passed its second reading and it is ordered that it be
Published in the Winchester Evening Star and that the Public hearing be held on the 30th
ay of June, 1950, for citizens who wish to appear before the Board of Supervisors to state

their views on the approval or disapproval of said ordenance.
Grover Teets and B. 0. Brumback were appointed a Committee to
tudy the proposed County Market and make a report to this Board.
Joseph A. Massie, Commonwealth's Attorney and Ellsworth Dodson
appointed a Committee, by the Chairman, to prepare a set of standard for indigent
persons entering the Hospital for treatment.
According to an advertisement for Public Hearing as to the
levy as set for the fiscal year beginning on July I, 1950 to June 30, 1951, there being
no taxpayers appearing before the Board relati to the levy as set by the Board, the
hereby confirms said levy as set, which is as follots:
