Keep the Bible and Save the Nation
D URING THE COURSE of events Of these
perilous times the world is being alert-
ed of our peril more by the politicians
than by the ministers. These wolves in
sheep's clothing which are looming above
the horizon in our state and national gov-
ernment slip through the doors of our
Laodicean church without being detected
as diabolical. it seems that our F. B. I.
in peace and war is actually accomplishing
much goal that should be done by our
different c if they were on fire for
kingdom work as the Bible enjoins us to
be.
These so-called reformers of Christian,
Socialist and atheistic communists thrive
in our American life because the teaching
of the Bible has been abolished in our
schools by the Supreme court of the Unit -
ed States of America. None of the people
in America believe that the Supreme
Court is Communistic, but the line they
followed in abolishing the reading of the
Bible in our public schools is definitely
communistic in principle. Had these men
been on the Bench as high jurists in the
days that our republic was founded on pray-
er, faith and religious toleration plan, they
would have been impeached or disrobed
through some honorable procedure.
As a Christian that believes in God and
the Bible, we think that we can speak for
the majority of the American public when
we demand a rehearing of this matter and
a reversal in this important issue. This
week we are writing Io,000 Methodist
preachers to see if we can depend upon
their cooperation in fighting for these
phases of the four freedoms for which the
Revolutionary war was fought and every
drop of the American blood that has been
spilled in war was shed as a direct or in-
direct challenge to this official infidelity.
To be sure it is essential that the Bible
should be read without comment except
in the matter of stressing its general teach-
ing, such as the Ten Commandments, the
Golden Rule and the other precepts that
are of no private interpretation. Besides,
such books as Proverbs, Psalms and many
other inspired writings are of great value
from the standpoint of substantial liter-
ature. Furthermore, the prophecies of the
Bible are constantly being fulfilled before
our eyes. You don't have to be a Chris-
tian to lay your Bible open before you and
scan your newspapers at the same time,
—in the prophecies you read what these
holy men of old said would come to pass,
and in the newspapers you see it being
fulfilled. The chariots of Nahum s:g are
raging in the streets jostling one against
another as they run like lightning with
beams like torches. The mighty locusts
spoken of in the Revelation are buzzing
over our heads, and in some parts of the
world are pouring out the plagues from
the stings in their tails.
Although we all dill not land on
Plymouth Rock, we all have a sure Foun-
dation on which to build and that Rock
is Christ. The gates of hell shall never
prevail against our nation if we maintain
our Freedom of spirit, religious toleration,
and love for the Bible. America has been
exalted by righteousness until it is a light-
house to the world all because we have
had the Word of the Lord as a lamp
for our fret and a light to the pathway
of peace` - Therefore, we appeal to the
Christians of all faiths to mobilize your
integrity and protest to your Senators and
Congressmen about these vicious acts and
unholy Court decisions. Along with our
letters may we make.a common petition
to the Lord who is able to change the
hearts and minds of distinguished jurists,
and let them see that although heaven
and earth pass away Cod's Word will
abide forever and we can abide forever
along with it if we keep searching the
Scriptures and keep the Bible open for
the youth of today, likewise, that together
we may have eternal life for our souls,
and eternal aid for our nation. While this
change of getting the Bible back in pub-
lic schools is in process, we urge all of
you readers to pray for the interdenomina-
tional school that is opening at Tam -
Praycr-OE; here the Bible is taught not
only in high school and college, but we
now have a complete grade school open
as well. If your children are not doing
well in school where they are, send today
for a catalog and application to be sent
to you whereby you can enter them in
the Fellowship Bible School and College.
You should also be informed that the
classes are So arranged that your children
can work their way through to a Christian
Education. If you do not have the means
to send them so far away to another school
where the Bible is taught, address Fellow-
ship Biblical College, in Care of Miss Osie

Examine Yourselves
(11 Car. IB:5.)
E xANIINE VouRSELvEs, whether ye be in
the faith; prove your own selves. How
much better life would be for all of us if
we could practice this advice. If we are
not careful, we shall be examining our
neighbors, determining whether they be
in the faith — proving them by our own
measuring rod rather proving ourselves by
God's Word.
I am praying daily that the Lord will
help me to keep a strict account of my
own life, lest I be found wanting when
September- October, t95o
weighed in His Divine Balances. Selfish
ambitions and desires cat the vitals front
our spiritual life.
Many churches have been split because
two members wanted to be Class Leader,
two wanted «i play the piano or the pipe
organ at the same time, or two wanted to
superintend the Sunday School. Division
arose, the Spirit of Gal was grieved away
and the church was wrecked.
How sad that all of Gaps followers will
not tarry before Him in earnest appeal
until all self is burned out and the va-
cancy filled with the Holy Spirit.
So long as self has control, we are in
subjection: We want the biggest piece of
pie, the most comfortable chair, the first
place in the hearts of our friends, the high
office, and so on. Self is an enemy to
the Lord and to His work. We must be
crucified with Christ and then we can be
the clay and He is our potter. He will
make us an instrument of Righteousness.
Are you willing to die to self that you may
be made alive unto Christ? God grant
that it may be so, for not until you reach
that place can you know the real joy of
being a Christian. Osie England

DEFEND of the FAITH
VOL. 30 PUBLISHED BY THE' HOUSEHOLD OF FAITH SEPTENIBER- OCTOBER, 1950 NO. 5
Ministerial Students Arrive at
A N EXCLUSIVE and exceptional crowd of
students and consecrated faculty have
registered in the Fellowship Biblical Col-
lege which opened Septenhher 28. Twelve
states are represented by this title group.
The names of most of the facility along
with their high educational rating was
listed last month.
The most outseutdiug incident in con-
nection with the opening of the Bible
School is the story of how two youths, who
arc studying for the ministry, reached their
destination. These lads whom you see in
the picture were not born with silver
spoons in their mouth, and therefore, had
to trust the Lord to stake a way for them.
One of them by the name of Galen Frank-
lin bill farewell to his afflicted father,
whose legs were amputated in an accident,
and his mother, who with his sister, works
to make the living for the family, and
headed South as a very worthy hitch - hiker.
YOU see, "Gal helps those who help thenh-
selves," and thus the spirit caught away Ga-
len as he, like Philip, moved South. A
few hours later the 15-year old Christian
lad stepped joyfully into the Christian
Colony at Fellowship Front, Florida.
A few hours later another fine min-
isterial student by the name of Samuel
Clevenger left this preacher father and
mother in the Hoosier State, and likewise
arrived in record time. Samuel had earned
and saved enough to pay for his schooling
,but must practice strict economy, so lie,
too, thumbed his way.
Some of the children from each of the
orphanages ore also making a good start
in this first semester. Most of the grades
from kindergarten up are represented, and
we are expecting a large enrollment tv
the time the second tens opens in January.
If you know of a young man or woman
who is desirous of training for ministerial
or home mission work, please advise them
that they call work their way through here
in the Fellowship Biblical College, and
have plenty of time left for their studies
and other duties.
In closing these remarks about the ad-
c:otages here we ate sure you will all
agree that if many of our young men that
must go into military training soon could
have Bible School education, they could
go to these various lands as missionaries
with the Sword of the Spirit to back them,
and any carnal weapons which they might
have from hand knives to atoin bombs,
there could, in time, be a Christian Lea-
gue of understanding representatives from
every land that work out a peace program.
The picture above is of the two boys
who successfully and prayerfully hud,
hiked their way to school. Pictured with
thenm is the Principal of the Bible Acad-
emy, Miss Ruth Dixon froth Greensboro,
Nid.
Besides the regular features of the school
the students and teachers will engage ik
a deep -sea fishing trip Saturdays that will
outclass all of your football camps of the
North, and instead of bringing home sore
shins and a banner, they may have as much
as goo pounds of fine fish steak if the catch
is normal.
Quite a number of students are yet to
be enrolled, and if any of you readers feel
inclined to move southward and enter the
school, you will be enrolled, and the
friendly Christian teachers will help you
make up your work. Remember this
school's run entirely on faith lines, and
any consecrated tithe, or other offering,
will be gratefuly accepted by any depart-
ment whether your gift is for the needy
student fund, the teacher benevolent fund,
or the general upkeep and overhead of the
school. We can assure you for both the
faculty and the students that the money
thus contributed will be used economical-
ly, and none of it spent for tobacco or li-
quor or extravagant superfluities. As the
Pale Horse and his rider follows tine red
dragon and his calamities and woes, it will
behWve us to act quickly and save the
world for Christianity by educating these
consecrated boys and girls who will Soon
be taking your place and ours as the men
and women of tomorrow.

F OR SOME YEARS we have banded our-
selves together to help one another in
time of sorrow and distress. Each member
contributes one dollar membership fee;
this pays in full until there is a death
among the number, then each contributes
another dollar. At one time we had one
hundred seventy -six dollars to pay on a
funeral. For several years we had no
deaths at all, but in 1949 we had six. This
discouraged some of the members —they
forgot they were helping others —and they
failed to renew. We had a death a few
weeks ago and we had only forty dollars
in the treasury to contribute. If you are
interested in joining this Benevolent So.

My Saviour Suffered
My Saviour suffered in great agony
As on the Cross He hung at Calvary.
The pangs I should have borne, He bore
for me,
And drank the cup to set me free.
Sec how they mock Him and put Him to
shame!
- File dear Son of God who wasn't to
blame.
Hear how @I' y _one Him, and ]low they
blasphenlel
Boldly they treat Him as one of ill fame.
A crown of sharp thorns am pressed on
His Head
No words of complaint by Jesus are said.
Though suffering, —o f others —He's think-
ing, instead.
For you and for me His Life Bloat He
shed.
See how the Blood trickles down His Face,
As there on the Cross, He's taking our
place.
'Tis love that compels Him to die for the
race.
O, how can you short, any longer, His
Grace?
He suffered 'till the sun no longer shone —
'Till God could no longer look down at
His own.
Oh, what a price was paid, our sins, to
atone)
Let now His suffering melt even your
heart of stone.
"Father forgive them ". He I pleadingly
cried.
Then yielding His Spirit to the Father,
He died.
Water and blood flowed forth from His
Side. '
Has it to your heart e'er been applied?

Insurance or Assurance
William Henningsen
I N READING DEFENDER OF THE FAITH July.
August Issue, I noted on page 2 — "In-
side Data on Faith Expansion Program,"
Quote "Many well meaning Christians
have withheld their investments and offer-
ings from the Mountain Orphanages, the
Bible Schools, etc."
I found the same when I was in Chris-
tian work in New York City, and all true
Christians in His work will find some (re-
luctant Christians) , who hesitate, wonder,
question, and I am sorry to say many
Christians think His work can be carried
on with nothing, but I wonder how many
of these Christians can live without
money.
In speaking to the doubting Christians
you will find they are heavily insured,
have many investments: Government
Bonds, houses, cars, land and what have
you,' but when it comes to God's work
they hesitate. I wonder what these people
will do when they are called and what they
will tell the Master on Judgment day.
Read St. Mathew 25:31-46.
INSURANCE is a wonderful institu.
tion and when you die you leave your off-
spring something to remember you by,
but it is strange one can't take anything
with him.
ASSURANCE is Blessed, Everlasting,
Eternal, Gat Given through his Beloved
Son Jesus .Christ.
LIFE INSURANCE guarantees noth-
ing for the hereafter; Christ's Assurance
guarantees Life Eternal and with His As-
surance you can take All with you —that
All is a pure and contrite heart, the knowl-
edge that you are a Christian, if you die in
Christ you will be raised with Christ,
that is the Assurance a Born again Chris -
tan has, something in greater than a Life
Insurance Policy can give.
The trouble today these Last Days, we
have too many good times in His Church-
es, too many Church suppers, too many
feast gays, too much fire in the church
kitchen, not enough fire in the Pulpit and
too much willy -nilly preaching. Our
Blessed Lord did not hold back in His
preadtng, but He was not of this world[
I have been to Churches here in Or-
lando and also in the North and it always
disgusted me to see Church Goers, espe-
cially women with their lips heavily
painted and cheeks heavily rouged, also
finger nails painted and dressed to kill.
Yes, I said to kill the Spirit of Truth.
In Fellowship Front you see the Spirit
of humility, long suffering, patience; you
see the men in charge humbly dressed —
you don't see rings on their fingers, fine
suits, real luxury, as you see many so-
called Christian workers dressed in other
parts of the country. The women workers
are dressed in the plainest dresses possi-
ble, no paint, no rouge and no jewels —
their jewels are waiting for them at His
second Coming.
I have been in Religious Institutions
and found many of them lounging in the
finest of luxury, dressed in the finest of
clothes, but not at Fellowship Front.
It is high time the God - loving Chris-
tians look into the workings of the Fellow-
ship Front and not hesitate, for the time
is short.
"What cloth it profit, my brethren,
though x man say lie Ihath faith, and
have not works? Can faith save him? If
a brother or sister be naked, and destitute
of daily food, and one of you say unto
them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed
and tilled; notwithstanding ye give them
not those things which are needful to the
body; whin cloth it profit? Even so faith,
if it hash not works, is dead, being alone.
Yea, a man may say, Thou has faith, and
I have works; show me thy faith without
thy works, and I will shew dice my faith
by my works. Thou believest that there
is one God; thou doest well: the devils
also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou,
O vain ratan, know that Leith without
works is dead," James 2:14 -20.
Remember, clear reader, there is com-
ing a time when we will be asked for an
accounting, and that will be a stricter ac-
counting than your income tax collector
can give you. Remember, when He comes
many will be alive and many dead in Him
will be called forth for that accounting;
He will not ask what denomination you
belonged to —that doesn't matter to Him,
He will know what church you belonged
to and there will be no way to evade ques-
tioning. There is only one true Church
.IS every True Dlinistcr of the Gospel
knows, and that Church is His Body of
which Fie is the head. Ephesians 1:22, 23.
Every true believer and worker is a
member of His Body, The Church. I Cor.
12:27. "Now ye are the Body of Christ,
and members in particular."
There is nothing on this earth that is
yours; all you have worked for, all you
have built up, all you have saved, all that
is in the bank, in bonds, houses, land,
cars, jewelry is not yours :Old you will
know that when you read your Bible, His
Word.
Dent. 10:14 "Behold, the heaven and
the heaven of heavens is the Lord's thy
God, the earth also, with all that therein
is." Psalm 24:1. "The Earth is the Lord's,
and the fulness thereof; the world, and
they that dwell therein."
Miss England has done a wonderful
work and it was done on Faith and Works.
She has Orphans to look after, mouths to
feed, bodies to clothe and minds to de-
velop in a true Christian way and it is up
to every Christian to help in some way.
Thank God we have women like Miss
England who will sacrifice their lives for
His Children. Have you sacrificed as
touch, would or could you take her place?
Remember, "The Earth is the Lord's and
the fulness thereof."
"Love not the world, neither the things
that are in the world. If any man love
the world, the love of the Father is not
in him. For all that is in the world, the
lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes,
:nun the pride of life, is not of the Father,
but is of the world. And the world passeth
away, and the lust thereof: but he that
deeth the will of God abideth for ever."

sentiment set forth therein. It is obvious
that Dr. Ilenningsen has a very definite
vision of the Lord's work, ant] a burden
for the veterans of the cause, or he could
not have so eloquently delivered the truth
which we hole will be noted by the read-

God Speaks to Millionaires
H ISTORY arecHES that the great "I AM ",
Jehovah Cod of the Bible has faith-
ful followers among the rich as well as the
poor. Although not many of the rich or
noble are called, yet when they are, they
usually are very benevolent sponsors of
the cause thereby accomplishing great
good through their contribution. While it
is obvious that many of the Lord's chosen
vessels are called from among those of
humble heritage, Ile also occasionally
clips into the pool of prospet ity and rounds
III) it gold fish with a coin that is needed
to carry on such enterprises as Christian
colonies, orphanages, etc.
Think of Colgate, Carnegie, Rockefeller
:and Ford. Consider the great feats accom-
plished by that wealthy Christian business
mail by the name of LaTourneau. This
follower of Lite Lord not only manufac-
tured machinery that Ells valleys and
moves mountains, but he also uses his
missions to bulldoze doubts and debts
away from many struggling Bible schools
and missions. Thus, it would seem that
while God more often speaks to the washer
wunlan and uses her board more than the
Official board of the rich to tlo \Missionary
teork, he also uses utility of the middle
classes who accomplish wonders by giving
offerings and paying their tithe into the
needy places in Coil's work. As we are
soon approaching the Thanksgiving sea-
son the huge budget of the orphanages
and Fellowship Foundation must be pray-
ed in. Therefore, we earnestly covet the
prayers of the readers to pray with its that
the Lord will open the eyes and hearts of
those that have this world's goods, and
help them to sec how blessed it is to have
the privilege of serving Cal by helping
others, you sec God loves cheerful givers,
and if there are people that read this that
use tobacco or use liquor, if they could
spare as much for Ilis cause as they do, or
once did, for these useless luxuries, how
wonderful God's work could flourish. All
of the light bills, food and clothing, budgeta
and other needs could be met without any-
one feeling the burden. If the Christians
who believe in interdenominational work
would sacrifice, say their Sunday eggs, or
deny themselves the little ice acam or
chewing gum, they, too, could become
mighty through the self - denial of their
mites in the various phases of spending.
Do you not readily we that while the Lord
speaks to it few millionaires, he more
usually speaks to millions of the poor who
are rich in faith and heirs of Christ and
His coming Heavenly Kingdom?
Sweet Juicy Oranges Are
Now Ready for Shipment
B Y THE TIME this paper reaches the read-
ers the early Hamlin oranges will be
ready to ship. This fruit is either seedless
or semi- seedless, and comes in its natural
color, tree run, with all of the high -grade
oranges still intact. Last year we received
hundreds of letters from people who
thought this tree- ripened fruit was far the
best they had ever had the privilege of
eating.
- 1 - his mason oranges are likely still to be
high and scarce. Since the price will be
high many inferior timides of sour, un-
ripened fruit will likely be smuggled into
the market. Therefore, you readers can
help out the cause in a great way by ordcr-
ing your fruit early. In it few days you
will receive a letter containing Thanks.
giving greetings and an offer whereby you
can obtain three baskets of this fine fruit,
which will be packed, unwashed, in its
natural tree - ripened color, and sent to you
C.O.D.
According to many receiving fruit last
year the baskets came filled and in better
condition when the expressage was paid
on your end of the line. Therefore, if you
will enclose your check, or Money Order,
for $io.00 as your Thanksgiving Offering
to the Bible School and other branches of
the Christian work, we will send you two
baskets of oranges, and one of grapefruit
that will arrive at your place any time that
you wish between Thanksgiving and
Christmas, and you pay the expressage
when you receive the fruit. Judging from
other years we will expect about one thoti-
s ;:nd orders from the Lord's people, so
that you friends in the North may have a
bit of liquid sunshine rich'in vitamin "C"
and other life - prolonging ingredients.
Be sure to place your order as soon as
you receive this notice since this is the
time of year when $I.00 from you is worth
about two more to the cause than later in
the season.

prises that no doubt you have in mind.

in the sunshine and you all will no doubt

after until a reasonable amount has been
paid and after that you will owe nothing

and students in the Bible School.
Among the others you see in the picture
are A. T. Angle, Dewey Angle and the two
sons -in -law and daughters of the elder

Christian Library Continues to Grow
I
AST uoNTH while the editor was under
the weather physically he received a
letter from some fine person in the west
who offered to lend her library to the Bi-
ble School and Christian Colony. By some
means the letter was misplaced, and the
address of the benevolent friend was lost.
Although the library is gaining many new
books from friends in many parts of the
country, we feel the loss of this offer be-
cause they were religious books of the very
type for which we had been praying. If
the person that wrote that letter concern-
ing the library happens to read this notice,
we will appreciate it very much if you can
again renew that offer concerning the
loan of the books.
May Gal bless each of you other read-
ers that have large libraries and if you
have goal hooks that are seldom read and
wish to place them in circulation where
they will be constantly read and re -read
and do good, be sure to get in touch with
the office of the DEFENDER of TuE FAITH,
so that we can work out a plan that will
be satisfactory to all concerned. If you
cannot contribute your books outright, a
loan of the same while AAe are building the
library would be greatly appreciated. Ad.

N EVER s1NCE 9'HE settlement of America

ing than it is at the present. Already
thousands of automobiles bearing license
plates from practically all the states of
the union are jamming the beautiful
highways of the sunshine state. At last
the people by intelligence are learning to
do as the birds haw by instinct for many
years. As soon as lack Frost begins to
paint pictures in the windows and the icy
breezes from the frigid land of Canada
begin to hang long icicles on the eaves,
the wise people from every walk of life
know that it is time to drain their water
pipes, bar their doors and migrate to Dixie
for winter. These chilly multitudes have
different means of transportation. Some
come by train, others by bus„ ;tad here at
the Air Field in Tam - Prayer-OE the big
planes are making sixty flights daily

the wing in great flocks.
It does not take a versed prognosticator
to predict that a long, hard winter with
more sudden changes than was ever
known before is in prospect. Before this
inclement weather brings an icy calamity
on you or some of your loved ones, we
advise you to come with us where summer
spends the winter and where you will
spend less of your money for nheals and

could winter in the Sunshine State, but
through the providence of God, and the
prayers and the cooperation of His peo-

Smoking Flax for Smokers
S rNCE 111E BEGINNING Of time, the Lord
has matte provision for the wicked and
the just, the clean and the unclean. Even
in the ark the Lord made provision for
unclean animals that chewed the cud, but
didn't part the hoof. Under the law, the
clean and tire unclean both had their place
in God's world. Fie has set good and evil
that we who choose the
before its all, good
g
may live and they who choose the evil
must be destroyed.
While Tam Praycr OE, like Fellowship
Front, is a Christian colony, yet we find
some good people who do not yet have
victory over their tobacco habit Thus, to
protect the hundreds of good people who
do nor smoke from the bad effects of the
nicotine infested air which is exhaled by
incessant smokers, we are dedicating a
pesthouse in Tani- Praver -OE where these
that are addicted to this plague may live
unmolested by their "Holier -than- thou"
neighbors.
The name for this building is "The
Smoking Flax ". While it will not be as
large as some of the other structures, it
will be furnished with furniture equal in
viduc to that used by the residents that are
non- smokers. Running water and the
other utilities will likewise be installed.
Even ash -trays and cuspidors will be pro.
vide[. The people who pass must utter a
prayer, for their less fortunate brothers,
instead of lifting a finger of scorn or scow-
ling with a disdainful spirit. In this way,
those who smoke will understand that we
have no prejudice against them, but ra-
ther a feeling of sympathy, knowing that
they should be pitied rather than cen-
sored. Smoking church - members usually
appreciate airy courtesy that is shown
them, and, in our opinion, will consent
to this quaiantine as it may be called. Men
and their wives who smoke, however, will
be expected not to let their left ]rand know
what their right hand is doing, and will
be duty bound not to offer cigarettes or
tobacco to any of the non- smokers on the
grounds or to the students who attend the
Bible College. In other worths, if sonic
people must smoke and at the same time
be around others that do not smoke, we
want them to abide with the birds of their
feathers until the Lord has delivered them
from such bondage. Therefore, if any of
you smokers find a person in your "Smok-
ing Flax" that does not smoke, please re-
port them at once so they can be ejected,
and if you other Christians who do not
smoke find smokers living in your build-
ings, kindly take the matter to the Lord
in prayer and to the office as a problem
for its disposal.
Moreover, the 'Smoking Flax" is to he
highly insured and the rate will be expen-
sive because the hazard is great. If the
leathers have a criticism to offer that is
constructive before the "Smoking Flax"
is set in order, or shall we say set in dis-
order, kindly advise the office of the De-
fender of the Faith, and your opinion will
be weighed.
Hundred Day Prayer
T INE FIt tEENTH ANNUAL One Hundred
Day Prayer Convention which con-
venes every winter in sunny Florida will
open on Thanksgiving Day in the Fellow-
ship Chapel at Tam - Prayer -OE, Fla. Twin
meetings here and at Fellowship Front
Samford, Fla. will likely be in progress
through most of the winter months. Such
mighty men of God as Rev. Fending T.
Howard, Evangelist Panip- Topee, Big
Chief; Rev. Victor Glenn; Dr. Harry
Black; Elder C. P. Pridgen; Rev. Bouse,
Cyclone Dail}, Rev. Clevenger; Rev.
Brant and many others will be speak-
ers at various intervals. The O. C.
Rushing family can only give part time,
and will likely come both as singers and
evangelistic speakers.
Last season the auditoriums were crowd-
ed and scores of healings and conversions
were reported. A special feature of this
campaign will be engineered by Bro. King
from Pittsburgh, Penna. and Bro. Olsen
and wife as special singers. Scores of
other speakers and gospel singers will also
take part and will be mentioned later
when we have their names and schedules.
The Lord said that He would that we all
were either colt) or hot. So, why not plan
now to leave the cold in the North, and
come clown to this warm climate where
the retllot revival meetings are also very
warming and vitalizing to our Christian
experience which is so essential to our
well -being regardless of what state or
walk of life we represent.

reason for believing that it will make each

to your friends at Christmas Lillie is be-
cause it interests all ages and types of
Christian people or others who enjoy
wholesome reading matter. Little chil-
dren read it too, because several pages
are devoted to incidents that show the
great interest that Miss Osie has in home-
less children and other dependent ones
who need to be housed, fed or educated.
Educators want this book on their shelves
since the tone of its different chapters in-
dicate that the character about whom it
is written is a college woman who'Ieft
rank and position in the teaching profes-
sion and pushed out by faith "without
money and without price ". The ministers
and missionaries appreciate the volume
in that it creates a new interest in the
Home and Foreign Mission Work as well
as World -wide Evangelism. The many
who have read about the divine (healing
as advocated by Miss England enjoy the
reading matter since it acquaints them
in a brief way with the miraculous feats.
of faith and answers to prayer for those
who are afflicted in body or soul. One
great church worker, who has observed
the works of Miss Osie and her co-laborers,
has ordered loo of the books to distribute
them among his friends not only to help
the orphanage and the Bible Schools, but
also to strengthen the faith and encour-
age the friends spiritually whom he de-
sires to read the account.
Moreover, the writer will refund the
$2.00 to any reader who buys the book
and is not convinced that he has been
benefited many times that much by the
humble experiences of this hand - maiden
of the Lord. Be sure to order now since
there are not too many shopping days left
