P- R- E- S -E -N -T L. B. Whitacre, Chairman, B. 0. Brumback, Ellsworth Dodson, C. E. Garber and Grover Teets. The minutes of the last meeting held on the 13th dey of December 1948 were read and approved. BOB CAT Upon motion, duly seconded, it is ordered that Lewis Brewer be paid by the Treasurer Five Dollars for Killing one Bob Cat. D OG FUND Upon motion, duly seconded it is ordered that the Treasurer transfer from the Dog Fund to the General County Fund the sum of $I,000.00. REPORTS: - Earl Cather, Robert DeHaven, Joseph A. Massie, I. Fred Stine, John Wolfe, E. S. Bailey, Mrs. A. W. Wright and Agnes Shirley. The reports of Earl Cather, Game Warden, Robert DeHaven, Sheriff, Joseph A. Massie, Commonwealth Attorney, I. Fred Stine, County Agent, John Wolfe, Assistan County Agent, E. S. Bailey, Commissioner of Revenue, Mrs. A. W. Wright, Frederick County Tuberculoris Association and Agnes Shirley, Home Demonstration Agent were read and approved. WELFARE BUDGET Mrs. Gross, Superintendent of Public Welfare, appeared before the Board and presented the Tentative Welfare Budget for the year of 2949 and 1950. Leslie D. Kline Superintendent of Schools, R. E. Aylor and the Frederick County School Board appeared before the Board and presented their tentative Budget for the year of 1949 and 1950. A general discussion of the different items in the said Budget were entered into. Action was deferred until a later date. R OADS Upon motion of B. 0. Brumback and seconded by Grover Teets the following resolution was adopted: ] A 30 foot unrestricted right of way is guaranted by this Board for the road beginning at Rout #627 running in a Northernly direction to the land of C. C. Cunningham on the East and H. A. Cougill on the West. Upon motion, duly seconded C. S. Solenberger, A. F. Lillard and Tarlton Ramey, were appointed raod viewers to view the Fahnestock Lane for a distance of .35 of a mile and the Clerk is ordered to notify then to be present on Friday January [4th, 1949 at I0:00 A. M. to qualify and view the above mentioned road and make a report :o this Board. It is ordered that a opecial Session be held on the 24th day of January 1949 to make up the Budget for 1949 and 1950. IT is ordered that the Board do now adjourn. kk ,Clerk G��� ��� Chairman At a Special meeting of the Board of Supervisors of Frederick County, Virginia, held in the Supervisors Room over the Clerk's Office, on the 24th day of January, 1949. FIRE PREVENTION Mr. Rogers,Virginia Forest Service appeared before the Board and requested the Board to purchase a Truck for Thomas B.RBsenbergep,Fire Warden of Frederick County to be used in fire prevention work. No action was taken. ROADS Upon motion of Grover Teets seomded by B. 0. Brumback the following resolution was unanimously adopted:- Be it resolved, that the Department of Highways take into the Secondary System a section of road beginning at a point on route 627 just west of the B & 0 R. R. Station and extending Northward for a distance of 0.4 mile to the Mill property line, being the C. C. Cunningham on the East and H. A. Cougill on the west. A thirty (30) feet unrestricted right of way is guaranteed. ROADS Upon motion of Grover Teets and seconded by B. 0. Brumback the following Resolution was unanimously adopted:- Be it Resolved that the Department of Highways take into the secondary system a section of road known as Fahnestock lane; beginning on route 522 and running in a Northward direction for a distance of 0.35 mile. This Board guarantees a thirty (30) foot unrestricted right of way on this section of road. ROADS = SECONDARY Upon motion, duly passed and in accordance with the law it is ordered that the Board will hold its Regular hearing on requests for secondary road inprovements on Monday February the I4th 1949 at 1:30 P. M.It is further ordered that a notice of said meeting be published in the Winchester Evening Star. SPECIAL MEETING Upon motion it is ordered that a special meeting of the Board be held on the Ist day of February, 1949. IT IS ORDERED THAT THE BOARD DO NOW ADJOURN. 10:4 1 ,Clerk - -_- °- .C hairman _
