SCHOOL BOARD APPROPRIATION
Upon motion of C. E. Garber and seconded by Grover Teets
and duly passed the Treasurer is ordered to transfer $53,500.00 from the General County
Fund to the School Fund. 44^
SCHOOL FUND
Upon motion duly seconded it is ordered that the School
Fund and School Building Fund, shall receive during the current year the full amount
of the current school levy.. This will be accomplished by paying from the General County
Fund to the School Fund the amount of the School Levy and placing the total tax income
to the credit of the General Fund and the County Treasurer is ordered to transfer these
funds as the money becomes available.
DISTRICT HOME
Upon motion duly seconded the Chairman appointed
B.. 0. Brumback a member of the Steering Committee for the study of a District Home. The
Clerk is ordered to transmit a copy of this order to John Bruner, Richmond, Virginia.
PAINT - MARK PLAZA
Upon motion duly seconded it is agreed and ordered that

this Board will pay for the paint to mark the Plaza for Parking provided the City does the
marking With out compensation.

Frederick County, Virginia resolved to grant authority to the Police Department of the l
City of Winchester, Virginia to regulate according to its traffic regulations promulgated
for the City of Winchester, Virginia the traffic conditions arising on the Frederick Coun
owned portion of the County Court House Plaza,
SICK LEAVE - SCHOOL TEACHERS
Upon Motion of B. 0. Brumback and seconded by Ellsworth
Dodson, it was unanimously decided that this Board appropriate from the General County
Fund to the School Board an amount not to exceed $I,900.00 to be used for State Sick leave
plan for Public School Teachers of the Public School of this County for the year ending
July I, 1949
Upon motion duly seconded the sentiment of this Board
according to the expressed desires of the people of Frederick County is opposed to the

adoption of Daylight Saving Time forFrederick County or the City of Winchester at any

time during the Calander year of 1949.
PUBLIC HIGHWAYS - ABANDON MAINTENANCE
Upon motion duly seconded this Board requests the State
Department of Public Highways to abandon Maintenance oil the following roads in Frederick
County; to -wit:
Route 708 from intersection of Route 707 for a distance
of I.0 mile.
Route 607 from 0.7 miles North of intersection of Route
608 for a distance of 0.7 mile.
Route 634 from intersection of route 636 West for a
distance of 0.7 mile.
Route 675 from intersection of route 261 to intersecthn
of route 264 for a distance of 0.8 miles.
Route 672 from intersection of route 608 to intersection
of route 68I for a distance of 1.7 miles.
Route 681 to intersection of route 686 for a distance of
0.8 miles.
Routb 704 from intersection of route 705 for a
distance of I.5 miles.
It is further ordered that the Clerk transmit a copy of
this request to B. D. Fleener, District Road Engineer, Edinburg, Va.
BILLS APPROVED
Accounts totaling $3,906.95 were approved and ordered
to be paid from the General County Fund by warrants numbers II096 to II155 inclusive and
(Earl Cathers Salary and Livestock and Fowl claims totaling $230.30 were approved and
ordered to be paid from the Dog Fund by warrants numbers I003 to I013 inclusive.
It is ordered that the Board do now adjourn. /

Upon motion duly seconded this Board unanimously directt
that the Judge of the Circuit Court of Frederick County appoint an equalization Board to
review the reassessments land books of Frederick County, which were made by the Land

Garber it is unanimously agreed and ordered that the Compensation of each member of the
equalization Board be and hereby is fixed at Ten ($I0.00) Dollars per day.

Upon motion duly seconded this Board requests the State

Route 708 from intersection of route 707 for a distance of I.0 mile.
Route 607 from North of intersection of route 608 for a distance of 0.7 mile,
Route 634 from intersection of route 636 west for a distance of 0.7 mile.
Route 675 fromr intersection of route 261 to intersection of route 654 for
a distance of 0.8 mile. -
Route 731 from intersection of route 608 to intersection of route 681 for a
distance of I.7 mile.
Route 681 from intersection of route 686 for a distance of 0.8 miles to
intersection of route 686.
Route 704 from intersection of route 705 for a distance of I.5 miles(
Route 680 from interscetion of route 679 for a distance of 0.8 miles South.
It is further ordered that the Clerk transmit three

Upon motion of Grover Teets seconded by C. E. Garber
the secondary Road budget was unanimously approved as presented.

Garber this Board guarantees a 30 foot right of way on Fahnestock Lane,,, for a distance of
0.35 of a mile.
