Road Engineer were read and approved.
TRAFFIC LIGHTS
Upon motion duly seconded the following resolution was
adopted, Resolved: - that the Highway Department place a traffic light at intersection
of route 50 and 522 South of Winchester and and the widening of the right of way of route
# II innediately North of the City limits.
THORNTON LANE
Upon motion of Grover Teets and seconded by B. 0. Brumback
the following Resolution was adopted.
Be IT RESOLVED, that the Department of Highways take over
and maintain a section of road known as Thornton Lane, beginning at a point on Route 626,
0.6 mile south of Intersection of Route 627, and running in a westernly direction, a
distance of .78 mile.
A 30 foot unrestricted right of way is guarnteed.
SCHOOL - SALES TAX
Upon motion of B. 0. Brumback and seconded by Ellsworth
Dodson this Board requests the State Government to take such steps as may be necessary
to relieve the acute emergency in the present school situation. If necessary levy a
2% Sales Tax.
SCHOOL BUS SHELTERS
Upon motion of B. 0. Brumback and seconded by C. E . Garber
that the building Committee have IO School Bus Shelters constructed for school children.
BILLS APPROVED
Accounts totaling $3,549.96 were approved and ordered to be
paid from the General County Fund by warrants numbers II050 to 11095 inclusive and
Livestock, fowl claims and Earl Cather's salary totaling $176.60 were approved and
ordered to be paid from the Dog fund by warrants numbers 998 to I00I inclusive.
Upon motion it is ordered that the Bca rd do now adjourn.
