MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING
OF THE
FREDERICK COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION
Held in the Board of Supervisors' Room, August 22, 1974
PRESENT: Keith Williams, Chairman; Elmer Venskoske; Manuel DeHaven;
Richard Madigan; James Golladay; Langdon Gordon; Maurice
Perry; R. Wesley Williams; Ronald Berg; and J. 0. Renalds.
CALL TO ORDER
The Chairman called the Meeting to Order and announced that
the Special Call Meeting was for the purpose of discussing the
® proposed Land Use Plan for Frederick County. The Chairman then
turned the meeting over to Mr. Ronald Berg, County Planner.
LAND USE PLAN
Mr. Berg explained the four (4) districts proposed in the
land use plan and showed the members the nine (9) community centers
that will be included in the Plan.
The Members discussed the centers at great length, taking
each one at a time. Also discussed were the agriculture and urban
districts. The Members made numerous suggestions which will be
incorporated into the Plan.
Due to the hour, the Members decided to hold another work
session to discuss the Business and Industrial Districts.
THERE BEING NOTHING FURTHER TO COME BEFORE THE COMMISSION,
I THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED.
