in the Board Room of the Old County Court House, 9 Court Square, Winchester, Virginia.

1. Included in your package is a copy of a letter from Sergeant Roger Ashley of the
Middletown Police Department. The letter states that Middletown is applying for a
Highway Safety Grant to fund an additional police officer for the town and requests a
letter of recommendation from the Committee. The letter would go with the application
to Mr. Doug Stader, the DMV field representative for this region. The endorsement of
the Transportation Committee is required as part of the grant application package.
If the committee is so inclined, a motion to endorse the application and forward a letter
to Mr. Stader would be appropriate.

RE: Route 37 Eastern Loop Extension
DATE: May 1, 1991
Mr. Chris M. Lloyd, AICP of Maguire Associates Inc. will be present
at the May 6, 1991 Transportation Committee meeting to discuss the
proposed extension of the Route 37 Eastern Loop. Mr. Lloyd will
inform the committee as to what course, scope and schedule his
company will undertake to complete the engineering, environmental
impact studies and consulting work involved with this phase of the
Route 37 project.
Mr. Lloyd will address all questions or concerns that the committee
might have. The Planning Staff would like the Transportation
Committee to make a recommendation for the endorsement of this
project at this meeting.
