P R E S E N T C. M.' Rosenberger, Chairman, H. M. Fout, H. C. Light, G. W. Lemley, William Carpenter and W. E. Edwards Commonwealth Attorney. The minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved REPORTS OF T. W. RUSSELL. I. FRED STINE, MISS SPROUSE AND HARRY McCANN. The report of T. W. Russell, Supt of the County Home, I. Fred Stine, County Agent, Miss Sprouse, Home Demonstration Agent and Harry L.. McC County Treasurer, were respectively presented by them, and each report was approved., Accounts totaling $2,097.80 were approved and ordered paid from the General County Fund by warrants Nos 5825 to 5875 inclusive. Sheep claims totaling $33.00 were approved and ordered to be paid from the Dog Fund by warrant Nos. 494 to 495 inclusive. It is ordered that the Board now adjourn. er . McCann, County Treasurer were respectively presented by them, and each report was approved. POLUTION OF ABRAMS CREEK. Dr. E. C. Yost, representing citizens living along Abrams Creek appeared before the Board relative to the polution of said Stream by industries located in this County near to or on the same. After hearing the complaint and considering the matter it was decided to take no action at present in the hope that the situation will be cleared by additional sewerage facilities to be installed by the City of Winchester. 2`>7 ( FOREST FIRE CONTROL. Mr. Berlin Eye , District Forester of the Virginia Forest Service appeared - U before the Board with the request that this County adopt the plan of Fire Control as provided by Section of 541 of the Code of Virginia in consideration whereof the follovriN resolution was passed" BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD that the State Forester of Virginia be, and is hereby, requested to organize Frederick County for forest fire contrc in accordance with the provisions of Section 541, Chapter 28, of the Code of Virginia, 1936, at the earliest possible date. This order shall be entered on the county records of this Board and it is hereby ordered that an attested copy hereof be sent to the State Forester, Box 1368, University Station, Charlottesville, yirginia." this resolution adopted with Mr. Light voting against it. ° SCHOOL.BOARD LOAN. On motion of Mr. Fout, seconded by Mr. Light it was unanimously ordered that a loan of $20,000.00 by the School Board of Frederick County from the Literary Fund for the erection and completion of the Clearbrook School, be and the same is hereby approved and authorized. Accounts totaling $ 2,949.76 were approved and ordered paid from the General County Fund by warrants Nos. 5876 to 5947 inclusive. Sheep claims totaling $58.19 were approved and ordered to be paid from the Dog Fund by warrants Nos 496 to 500 inclusive. It is ordered that the Board now adjourn. It was decided to refund to the City of Winchester $30.00 taxes, on the Airport property in Frederick County. APPROPRIATION FOR CRIPPLED CHILDREN HOSPITAL. Upon motion of Mr. Light seconded by Mr. Lemley, and carried this board appropriates the sum of Twenty -five ($25.00) Dollars to the Crippled Children Hospital in Richmond Virginia. MATTRESS MANUFACTURER. and Mr. Grover Schlack appeared before the board /on behalf of the Committee in charge of the Mattress program presented to the Board their check in the amount of Fifty ($50.00) Dollars, representing the refund of the appropriation made by this Board for said program. RELOCATION OF ROUTE ROUTE 669 STONEWALL DISTRICT. The Board of Supervisors are of the opinion that it is necessary to alter the location of a public road, to -wit: On that portion of said Route leading from U. S. Route 11 North at Rest Church to Woodbine School where it passes through the property of Oscar Leight, therefore upon motion of Mr. Light seconded by Mr. Fout, E: M. gunk, John W. Larrick, H. Tilden Snapp, Elijah Pifer and J. Earle Rinker are appointed as viewers,all of whom are resident freeholders of the County of Frederick and any three of whom may act.. The said viewers shall examine such Route and shall shall report at the next regular meeting of this Board to be held on the 8th day of December 1941 as follows: Upon the expediency of altering the location of said Route. . And the Clerk of this Board is directed to notify said appointees and Mr. Yellot Resident Engineer to meet Saturday November 22nd, 1941 to view the premises. Accounts totaling $3,923.83 were approved and ordered paid from the G,neral County Fund by warrants Nos 5948 to 6130 inclusive.
