held in the.Supervisors Room over the Clerk's Office on Monday December 9, 1940.

The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
REPORTS OF T. W. RUSSELL, I. FRED STINE, MISS SPROUSE AND MRS. NALLY.
The report of T. W. Russell, Supt of the County Home, I. Fred Stine, County Agent:
Miss Sprouse, Home Demonstration Agent: Mrs. Nally Supt. of the Board of Public Welfare,)
were respectively presented by them, and each report was approved.
APPROPRIATION FOR COUNTY
BOARD OF AGRICULTURE.
Upon motion of Mr. Fout seconded by Mr. Lemley, and carried this board
appropriates the sum of Thirty Dollars to the County Board of Agriculture, warrant to
be drawn therefor -to Landon Whitacre, Treasurer, for stock survey of Frederick County.
REPORT OF I. FRED STINE, COUNTY AGENT. AND HIS RE- APPOINTMENT AS AGENT.
Mr. I. Fred Stine, County Agent presented his annual report and the same
was unanimously approved.
This being the time to appoint the County Agent for the coming year, upon
motion of Mr. Lemley seconded by Mr. Carpenter and unanimously passed Mr. I..Fred
Stine is hereby employed as County Agent for the ensuing year at his present salary.
OFFICE IN COURT HOUSE.
Mr. R. L. Barney appeared before the Boa rd, at their request and submitted
a bid of $202.46 for constructing a room twelve by eighteen feet up stairs in the
Court House for the Office of Farm Security Administrator. This bid covering materials
and labor. The figures submitted for the material being only guaranteed until January
1, 1941, and this Board requests the aid of Farm Security Administration in providing
said room.
HITCHING YARD, GAS STATION.
Mr. W. G. Ottley, representive of the Standard Oil Company of Virginia,
appeared before the Board relative to renting a portion of the Hitching Yard lot as
a location of a Service Station.
The Board after hearing Mr. Ottley's proposal took the matter under
advisement.
AIRPORT TAXES.
It was decided to refund to the City of Winchester $30.00 taxes on the
Airport property in Frederick County.
Bills totaling 2,186.20 were approved and ordered to be paid from the
general County fund by checks Nos. 5210 to 5275 inclusive.
Sheep claims totaling $45.00 were approved and ordered to be paid from the
Dog Fund by warrants Nos. 463 to 465 inclusive.
It is ordered that the Board now adjourn.
