May 03, 1939i19 At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Supervisors for Frederick County, Virginia, held in the Supervisors' Room over the Clerk's Office on Wednesday, May 3, 1939 PRESENT: C. I. Brumback, Chairman; Phil H. Gold; C. M. Rosenberger; ti'i. H. Branner; E. W. Adams; and F. i ",'. Pingley, Game Warden. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS ivIEETINGS The minutes of the previous Regular Meeting of April 3, 1939, and of the Special Meeting of April 17, 1939, were read and approved.as corrected. LOW -WATER BRIDGE AT BURNT FACTORY On receipt of a letter from Loring Kackley of Berryville,'Va., accompanied by a petition with thirty -seven signers from Clarke and Frederick Counties asking for a low water bridge at Burnt Factory, and whereas there are no funds available to erect said bridge, on motion of W. H. Branner seconded by P. H. Gold that this matter be deferred to a later date; said motion was unanimously carried. ROAD 629 L. S. Funkhouser, John Lowe, Garland Snapp, Robert Stephenson, H. T. Snapp, and Philip Frye appeared before the Board in behalf of Road 629 relative to getting accepted by the Highway Department into the Secondary Highway System, and the above named property owners agree to give the land for the right of way and remove all fence where :lecessary except stone fences, and the stone fences are given to the Highway Department to be used in said construction. ' (On resolution, the Board hereby agrees to give to the State Highway Department an unrestricted 30 ft. right of way on the requested addition of approximately 1.1 mile on Route 629 known as the Graves Road.) BRIDGE OVER BRUSH CREEK A Committee appeared before the Board and requested that a bridge be built over Brush Creek at the Jacob Kerns Property. Mr. W. C. Poston, Resident En advised the Board that this would come under construction work and that there were no .funds available for this work so the matter was deferred until a later date. REPORT OF T. W. RUSSELL, SUPT. OF COUNTY HOM T. Vi. Russell, Supt. of the County Home, presented his report, and the same was unanimously approved. GATES FOR THE COUrITY HOME T. �Y. Russell, Supt. of the County Home, was authorized to purchase three gates for the County Home not to exceed $5.00 each. 160 REPORT OF I. FRED STINE, COUNTY AGENT I. Fred Stine, County Agent, presented his report and the same was unanimously approved. SPECIAL MEETING It is ordered that the Board meet for a Special Meeting on May 15, 1939. Bills totaling $963.17,' were approved and ordered to be paid out of the General County Fund by Warrants Nos. 3814 -3823, inclusive. Bills totaling $ 167.00 were approved and ordered to be paid out of the Dog Fund by Warrants Nos. 312 and 316 -325 inclusive. It is ordered that the Board do now adjourn until May 15, 1939.
