017-21 (CPPARussell-SmithProperties) CO RESOLUTION prim 1731 Action: BOARD OF SUPERVISORS: September 8, 2021 APPROVED'TO DENY RESOLUTION TO DENY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT REQUEST #01-21 FOR RUSSELL-SMITH PROPERTIES WHEREAS, Frederick County received a request to amend the 2035 Comprehensive Plan to expand the boundary of the Urban Development Area, the Sewer and Water Service Area, and change the land use designation from urban center to residential for five parcels of land totals 89.49 acres. The properties are located adjacent to Justes Drive, Rosa Lane, and Laurelwood Drive, and east of Front Royal Pike (Route 522 South), and WHEREAS, this request was discussed by the Comprehensive Plans and Programs Committee at their July 12, 2021 meeting; and WHEREAS, this request was discussed by the Board of Supervisors and the Planning Commission at joint work-session on September 1, 2021 and consensus was to not approve the request for further consideration. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Frederick County Board of Supervisors that CPPA#01-21 for Russell-Smith Properties is denied for further study.
