of February, 1947 were read and approved.

Upon motion of H. C. Light and seconded by William Carpenter
the following resolution was adopted
Resolved: -That no person, firm, corporation or association of
�i persons, of traveling Carnivals or other like forms of entertainment shall be permitted
to operate in this County. H. M. Fout, William Carpenter and H. C; Light voting for the

;lizabeth Sheetz, Superintendeent of Schools and secretary, appeared before the Board and
Dresented the School Budget for the year of 1947-194$ and requested that this Board
appropriate from the General County Fund to the School Fund a sum sufficient to balance t
said Budget and after some discussion the Board decided not to appropriate this amount.
therefore the Budget was not approved.
SCHOOL BOARD APPROPRIATION
Upon motion duly seconded it was unanimously decided that
this Board appropriate for-the fiscal year of 1947 and I948 the sum of Thirty Five
Thousand ($35,000 Dollars to the School Board.
MOTOR VEHICLE DEPARTMENT - OF.FICE
Sgt. Wolfe of the Motor Vehicle Department of Virginia,
appeared before the Board and requested that they be permitted temporarily to use the

BILLS APPROVED
Accounte totaling $2,282.72 were approved and ordered to be
paid from the General County Fund by warrants number 9977 to X19 inclusive and Livestock
Claims totaling $2I.44 were approved and ordered to be paid from the Dog Fund by Warrants
numbers 871 to 872 inclusive.
It is ordered that the Board do now adjourn.
