August 14, 1944274 At the regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors of Frederick County, Virginia, held in the Supervisors Room over the Clerk's Office on Monday August I4 1944. P R E S E N T C. M. Rosenberger, Chairman, G. W. Lemley, William Carpenter, H. M. Fout, and H. C. Light. The minutes of the regular meeting held in the Supervisors Room over the Clerk's Office on the IOth day of July I944 were read and approved. REPORTS: T. W. RUSSELL, F. W. PINGLEY, RUTH MCNEIL, I. FRED STINE AND H. L. MCCANN. The reports of T. W. Russell, Superintendent of the.County Home, F. W. Pingley, Game Warden, Ruth McNeil, Home Demonstration Agent, I. Fred Stine, County Agent and Harry L. McCann County Treasurer, were read and approved. DELINQUENT TAX LIST FOR THE TAX YEAR OF I943 The County Treasurer, Harry L. McCann, presented to the Board the delinquent personal property list, for the tax year of 1943 as of July I, 1944 in the amount of $I189.93 and also the delinquent Real Estate list for the tax year of 1943 as of July 1944 in the amount of $3,055.55• The total being $4,245.48 which was unanimously SALE OF DELINQUENT LAND - H. R. BANHAM Upon motion of H. M. Fout and seconded by William Carpenter the following resolution was unanimously adopted. Be it Resolved that H. K. Benham be employed for the purpose of insti proceedings under State Section 2503 of the Virginia Code of 1942 as amended (Michie) to sell such real estate as has heretofore been or may hereafter be purchased in the name of the Commonwealth of Virginia at a tax sale and is not redeemed by the previous owner, his heirs or assigns, or some person having the right to charge the same with a debt, within three years from the date of such purchase, as he shall be directed to sell by the Treasures of Frederick County, and such employment shall be on a basis as shall be determined in the future between said attorney and the Board of Supervisors, and he shall be paid for such services a fee to be fixed at the time by said Board of Supervisors and said attorney, and to this end the Treasurer of Frederick County is directed to negotiate such employment of said attorney and is directed to inform said attorney of what parcels land complying with the foregoing provisions, shall be sold. BILLS APPROVED Accounts totaling # 2,391.56 were approved and ordered to.be paid from the General County Fund by Warrants numbers 7995 to 8033 inclusive and F. W. Pingley's salary and Live stock Claims totaling $ 88.40 were approved and ordered to be paid from the Dog Fund by warrants numbers 672 to 677 inrl usive. It is ordered that the Board do now adjourn.
