P R E S E N T C. Y. Rosenberger, Chairman, H. M. Fout, E. C. Light, G. W. Lemley, and William Carpenter. STEPHENS CITY CANNERY AND CAFETERIA A motion was made by G. W. Lemley to include in the 1944 -1945 Budget an allocation for a'.Community Cannery and School Cafeteria at the Stephens City School. There was no second to the motion. STEPHENS CITY CANNERY AND, CAFETERIA . Upon motion of H. C. Light and seconded by H. M. Fout the following resolution was adopted: Resolved, That this Board include in its 1944 -1945 Budget no allocation for a Community Cannery and Cafeteria at the Stephens City School, H. C. Light and H. M. Fout voting for the Resolution, H. M. Lemley voting against it and William Carpenter not voting. '. I RUTX - 1 r7 The object of this meeting was to work on and prepare the 1944 -1945 Budget. Most of day was therefore spent in the nreparation of the Budget. It is now ordered that the Board do now adjourn until its next regul r meeting. Fingley, Game Warden and Harry L. McCann, County Treasurer were presented and approved. INSURANCE POLICY On motion of H. M. Fout and seconded by G. W. Lemley and unanimously passed it is ordered, That the Jail policy No 66666 be increased from $2500.00 to $4500.00 on Jail buildings and contents. SUS DELINQUENT LAND SOLD. A list of delinquent lands, for the year of I94I, sold to the Commonwealth and individuals was submitted to the Board by the Clerk according to Section 2489. SCHOOL DEBT According to the I943 and I944 budget and upon motion it is unanimous ordered that the Treasurer transfer $2864.00 from the General County Fund to the School Fund it being the amount'-of Literary bonds and interest which was paid by the School Boar SCHOOL DEBT Upon motion of H. C. Light and seconded by H. M. Fout and unanimously passed the School Board is requested to pay the balance of the Literary Bonds amounting to $I8,400.00 and the interest to date and the County Treasurer is directed to transfer this amount from the General County Fund to the School Fund when payment of the same is made by the School Board. BILLS APPROVED Accounts totaling 43408.72 were approved and ordered to be paid from the General County Fund by Warrants numbers 7790 to 7838 inclusive and Livestock Claims and F. W. Pingley's Salary totaling $90.97 were approved and ordered to be paid from the Dog Fund by Warrants numbers 649 to 654 inclusive. It is ordered that the Board do now adjourn. BOB CAT Upon motion it is ordered that Vester Mcllwee be paid by the County Treasurer Five Dollars, bounty for killing one Bob Cat. PUBLIC WELFARE BUDGET The Public Welfare Board presented their Budget for the year begi July I, I944 and ending June 30, I945. After some discussion it was decided to hold another joint meeting on Friday April I4th, I944 at I:00 o'clock P. M. 2G9 SCHOOL BOARD BUDGET The Frederick County School Board came before the Board and presented a Tentative Budget for the year o f I944 and I945. After considerable discussic it was decided to hold another joint meeting on Friday April.I4th I944, at 2:00 o'clock P. M. BILLS APPROVED Accounts totaling $24I0.08 were approved and .ordered to be paid from the General County Fund by Warrants numbers 7839 to 7861 inclusive and Livestock claims and F. W. Pingleyis salary totaling $49.68 were approved.and ordered to bE paid from the Dog Fund by warrants numbers 655 to 658 inclusive. It is ordered that the Board do now adjourn. , Clerk ,Chairman At a special meeting of the Board of Supervisors of Frederick County, Virginia held in the = , upervisors Room over the Uounty Clerk's Office on Friday April I4th., I944. Mr. Walker McC. Bond and Miss McClanahan appeared. before the Board in regard to approving the tentative Welfare Budget. After some discussion and upon motion of H. C. Light and seconded by H. M. rout and it was unanimously passes that the salaries of the Superintendent and Assistants be set the same as they now are, receiving and-the balance was ap- proved as read. The school Board appeared before the board after some discussion it was decided that they meet again on Thursday April 20 at 2:00 P. M. On motion of H. 14. Fout and seconded by G. W. Lemley it is unanimously ordered that the County 'Treasurer transfer from the General County Fund to the Petty Cash account the sum of Fifty ($50.00) Dollars. On motion it is ordered that a special meeting be held on Thursday April 20th at I:00 P. M. for approving the Budgets. It is ordered that the board do now adjourn. Chairman
