April 13, 1942 to April 17, 19422 3 5 At the Regular Meeting of the Board of Supervisors of Frederick County, Virginia, held in the Supervisors Room over the Clerk's Office on Monday April 13, 1942. P R E S E N T C. M. Rosenberger, Chairman, H. M. rout, H. C. Light, G. W. Lemley, William Carpenter and W. E. Edwards, Commonwealth Attorney. R EPORPS OF T. W. RUSSELL, I. FRED STINE, HARRY L. McCANN and MISS SPROUSE. The report of T. W. Russell,.Supt. of the County Home, I Fred Stine, County Agent, Harry L. McC.nn, County Treasurer and Miss Sprouse Home Demonstrator Agent, were respectively presented by them, and each report was approved. PUBLIC WELFARE BUDGET. The Public Welfare Board presented their budget for the year 1942 -43 and after consideration of the same upon motion of Mr. Light seconded by Mr. Lemley it was unanimously approved by this Board as presented. ADDITIONS TO SECONDARY ROAD SYSTEM: NORTH FREDERICK TERRACE. It is unanimously approved that North Frederick Terrace,whioh intersects Rt. 522, 0.50 Mi N. W. of Rt. 261; thence extending North for 0.20 Mis., be taken into the Secondary Road System. BELLVIEW AVE. ROBERTS & BURTON STREETS It is unanimously approved that Beilview Ave., Roberts & Burton Streets, East of Rt.11 and just South of the South Corporate Limits of l'linchester; a length of 825 feet, be taken into the Secondary Road System. HOTTLE MILL ROAD. Mrs. William Schneider and others appeared before the Board in regard to having the aforesaid Road taken into the Secondary System. This not being the meeting to consider additions to the Road System action was deferred. APPROPRIATION TO SCHOOL BOARD. The School.Board appeared before the Board with their budget for year 1942 -43 the Board examined and went over their budget with them, and after �some' of the same, this Board unanimously decided to appropriate for the coming fiscal year the sum of $10,000.00 to the School Board,, this sum however subject to reduction by whatever amount or sum, if any, is appropriated or distributed big the State from the A. B. C. funds under the Act of Assembly passed at the last Legislature. 236 Accounts totaling $2,555.2K were approved and ordered paid from the General County Fund by warrants Nos. 6337 to 6382 inclusive. Sheep claims totaling $61.50 were approved and ordered to be paid from the Dog Fund by warrants Nos 519 -to 523 inclusive. It is ordered that the Board do now adjourn until Friday the 17th at 10:00 A.M. to complete their Budget and meet with the School Board and complete their Budget. CLERK. Upon motion of Mr. Light seconded by Mr. Fout, the Tentative Budget, as prepared was unanimously adopted, and the clerk of the Board is authorized to publish the same in the Winchester Evening Star, as required. REDUCTION IN GENERAL COUNTY RATE. Upon motion of Mr. Light seconded by Mr. Fout it was unanimously decided to fix the rate for the coming year at $.40 on the hundred tentatively and so advertise.
